Decided to boycott Thanksgiving cooking and opted for two plates from my all-time favorite home cooking restaurant for me and Mom. Placed my order as usual online and after fighting insane drivers in traffic, finally made it there during the lunch rush. Parking was a little funky but manageable. However, finding and getting my food was more difficult than parking. Normally when ordering online I pick up at the register where the dine-in patrons pay, but I guess due to people picking up holiday catering orders I got passed around like a cigarette. LOL Ended up being re-directed all the way back to the front to my first person of contact (I think her name was Paulette). She normally works the register over yonder but was moved up front for the holiday pickups. She was very kind and patient going all the way to the back to find my order and bring it up front letting me inspect it then bagging it for me. Such a sweetheart. Despite the runaround to get my food, everything was superb as always. Thank you Piccadilly. Can't wait to make another hour and a half ride from Bama to get more food. BTW, it's the holidays and while I'm grateful your dressing is on the menu as well as on the line when you come in, y'all got to add that bread pudding and rum sauce as well in smaller portions. Blessings & Happy...
Read moreYears ago I really liked Piccadilly Cafeteria. I suppose from childhood memories of eating there after church with my family. In recent decades I have found that after many consistent poor dining experiences that it just wasn't as I remembered it. Thanksgiving Day I visited this location in Fayetteville, for the first time. We were not going to have time to prepare a traditional dinner this year for the holiday. Last year I was travelling and missed the family dinner. I figured this would be a good option. When we arrived we were told by a surly line worker that traditional turkey and dressing was gone and would be a 20 minute wait. My two companions settled for other entrees but I decided to wait it out. The two dinners for my friends totalled over $30. I didn't even get a drink. After half an hour my friend spoke to the manager about the dinner I was waiting for. He was not concerned in the least and implied it was my fault for waiting. The traditional dinner of turkey and dressing is the only reason I would be in a Piccadilly. About 15 minutes later the food was ready. I paid ate as my friends waited then left. Don't eat here. Just don't do it. Fast food is better than this. I gave one star but it was not earned. The "waitress" was nice and friendly although...
Read moreThis location and the South DeKalb location are my favorite but the Fayetteville location have the best customer service of any Piccadilly I've visited. I have been a patron of this establishment for 11 years and they never disappoint. They have a variety of food, it is pretty consistant in taste, extremely clean and the staff and customers are friendly.
Today the exceeded my already high expectations of them when the server (Ms. Britney or Brinley) informed me they didn't have a dish that i wanted and proceeded to ask the manager Dee if there was anything that could be done. Mr. Dee went to the kitchen and prepared the dish for me. Not only was the customer service excellent but the food was great. Our server Rose was great as well. She continued to smile even though it was busy.
I usually don't purchase southern food since I'm a pretty decent cook and cook this often but their are several dishes that they perfect and just saves me the hassle. The food is always the right tempature, never over or under seasoned or over cooked, not too much oil and taste fresh. Is it grandma's food...no but it is...
