Iâm giving the service a good rating because our server was very polite and she did nothing wrong. The atmosphere is horrible however and hereâs why. This specific restaurant has a regular customer that they know who he is. He was staring at my wife when he walked in and trying to look away so that I didnât notice. Typically that doesnât bother me however, I have an extensive background in law-enforcement, and I recognized this person as someone of questionable character. We did not know him, nor have we ever met him, but he was wearing a Bandanas Barbecue T-shirt, sitting at a booth in the front of the restaurant near the takeout order table. He was a white male with shoulder length, scraggly blonde hair, wearing a dirty baseball cap and a dirty winter jacket. In addition to wearing the T-shirt, he also wore some dirty jeans and tennis shoes. I kept my eyes on him while we were eating because I was uncomfortable. When I paid, and my wife and I left, followed us out of the restaurant I turned around and saw him with his cell phone held up to his face, and I could see that he was videoing my wife. He tried to pretend like he wasnât and looked away, but I could see his screen, and it was clearly in active operation with video camera running. I followed him down the street to see where he was going. He didnât drive he walked. It looked like he lived in a neighborhood nearby the restaurant. I turned around and went back to the restaurant and spoke to the manager on duty Saturday night, November 25, 2023. The manager told me that the man was not an employee but however, a regular customer and just bought his T-shirt the day before. I told the manager what this customer did and that it caused both of us to feel very uncomfortable and is completely unacceptable. I told him he needs to take care of it, and talk to this man about putting their customers in risk of safety. We will never return to this restaurant ever again because they donât manage their customers properly. If you ever go into this restaurant and see a man fitting this description, I suggest that you leave immediately. No I didnât call the police because by itself itâs not against a lot to video someone however, if you cherish your wife like I do, you would be just as upset as I am. I will do anything to protect my bride. She she was legitimately, very scared, and for that reason, alone, this entire local chain of barbecue restaurants will never have our...
Read moreI was asked to write a review, let me tell you before I start this particular bandanas I have not been to, but I have been to the Jeff City location the Rolla Missouri location the one near Kirkwood and the one at the lake of the Ozarks. They all seem to be the same good service good food sometimes the chicken is a little dry baked beans are very good garlic bread you can't get enough of ribs are good pulled pork is good and the service is always good. The only problem I have with bandanas you can no longer buy a bottle of Budweiser they make you drink it from the tap I know that doesn't seem like a large problem but I know how some taps are maintained and how some taps aren't maintained I am not a beer drinker I am a Budweiser glass bottle drinker. All is cool I have iced tea instead they have St Louis style ribs I prefer an old fashioned spare rib but the ribs are very good. I say drop by check them out I think you...
Read moreWhile Bandana's used to be an inexpensive place to grab a meal in the restaurant itself, to bring home or even to take on a picnic, it now pales in comparison to the newer smoke houses like Salt & Smoke or even SmokeeMoes. Unfortunately Bandana's meats are dry, only slightly smokey in flavor and the side dishes are unimpressive and unimaginative. I would much rather have a moist entree that is flavored by its own juices and smoke rather than adding bottled processed barbecue sauce. It will certainly do in a pinch or if you're in the immediate neighborhood or maybe travelling and jumping off the highway for a quick bite but in order to remain competitive, they're really going to need to revisit preparation and more interesting and imaginative side dishes and desserts. And for heavens sake, add Burnt Ends to...
