June 26, 2004 at about 3:30 pm. Update to my review based on my experience today. I come to this Pita Way about once week and normally am quite satisfied. Today I came in to get 2 rice bowls. No other customers were in the restaurant. There were 3 workers behind the counter. One guy who later said he was the manager at that time, took my order and started my rice bowls. Shortly after he started, 2 Fenton police officers came in investigating a stolen credit card. The guy making my bowls literally walked away from my food, identified himself to the officers as the person in charge at the moment and started talking to the officers. He didn't say a single word to me before he walked away and left my half made order just sitting behind the counter. The girl was making a carry out and the other guy behind the counter asked the cops if they wanted anything to eat and when they said no thank you he started to walk away. I asked him if he might be able to finish my order which he did without saying a word and watching what was going on with the police officers the whole time. Very rude. Does anyone care about the customer anymore.
Came in for carry-out last night, Thursday 11/12, around 7pm and Brianna prepared my order. She was awesome! She was fast, friendly, personable, professional and listened well. And she wore her mask properly the entire time. With all that is going on in the world today, it's nice to be treated kindly and like your business is appreciated. Food was good...
Read moreWhile dinning in at Pita Way today I noticed something very disturbing. While ordering food I looked over the counter and and saw blatant trash and nasty food all over. The lettuce was pink and all of the toppings mixed together as if there was no point to separate them. Tables were very dirty and unwashed as if they haven't been wiped down or even touched after each customer. While enjoying my salmonella sandweech at the scratched dirty table I notice something very unpleasant and rude regarding customer service. Around 7:10 PM a man walked in carrying what looked to be 3 pizza boxes. At the time there was 2 young workers who were around the age of 16-17 up front. No managers or grown adults. But as soon as the pizza man walks in they all come out of the back and yell PIZZA! They all grab the pizza and put it on the counter right next to the cashier who seemed to be trying to do his job. A new customer walks in and tries to order but the staff refuses to take the customers order because they are too busy eating their pizza behind the counter (very unsanitary). I notice a man trying to start the order for the poor customer but the manager said to stop and go get pizza! Very unprofessional and a very unpleasant experience today. As I left I did notice the cashier profusely apologized to the customer for the inconvenience of the rest of the staff. I can only imagine what it looks like behind that creaky metal door. Do not go to this location. Salmonella...
Read moreThis location used to be one of my favorites, but unfortunately, the quality and service have noticeably declined over my last few visits.
On my most recent visit, I ordered a sandweech, a quesopita, and a small order of Fire Fries. While the fries were dropped in the fryer right away, they weren’t ready until 15–20 minutes after the sandweech and quesopita were finished. I expected they’d be overcooked—and they were—but after such a long wait (with very few customers ahead of me, aside from possible DoorDash orders), I was too frustrated to wait any longer and just left.
I also asked for a side of pita bread and hummus, but was instead given pita chips (only five of them) and a large serving of hummus. When I explained that I had asked for pita bread, not chips, the staff member—who appeared to be new—told me that pita bread only comes with bowls. I had already paid, so I had to make a second transaction just to get a single piece of pita bread.
In total, I spent around $43 on an order that wasn’t even enjoyable by the time I got home, mainly due to the delay with the fries, which are usually the quickest item to prepare. Disappointing, to...
