Silver Lake Park — Attraction in North Plains Township

It's a nice place to go with family. It's a small beach. It has a playground right above the beach for kids to play it also has a covered seating area. However as nice as it was the bathrooms were dirty, they had a bad smell and it was nauseating to be near them. They have volleyball fences set up about two or three, which was nice. They also have one of those wooden half covered circles where it's filled with sand so I think that's good for little kids. It was an enjoyable time and it was a $5 fee to get into the park. I was only there for a bit. It was a nice experience it had a seesaw and one of those playground equipment that is circular and you can push the circle until someone gets dizzy which was fun and kept most of the family entertained. Great park! This is your local meeting place. It has it all baseball diamond. Horseshoe pits,Frisbee golf,playground,BBQ pits,tables,restrooms and a snack bar during season. Nice park. I usually go for the disc golf. Would give it five stars if it weren't for the steep fee ($5 a day) and the fact that the course (even inside the fairway!) is overrun with poison ivy during the summer. Beach is nice.
