Fancy Sushi — Restaurant in Fernandina Beach

I've been there several times during dinner hours and have been satisfied with the service. The price is reasonable, not to mention the freebies and the food is great. The customer service is good except for this one time my fiancee and I decided to get lunch there. It was my birthday and we didn't get lunch until 2PM, we walked in to an empty place, you had one waitress and 3 guys at the sushi bar. We stood there for about 3 minutes before we were acknowledge, c'mon there was no one in there! The moment we sat down, I knew the meal wasn't going to be pleasant and it wasn't because of the food but it was the attitude from our waitress. She sat us down, walked away and came back with the menu and threw it on table, yes I had to catch it before it slid off. She ask for our drinks, then walked away. She barely said two words to us, not that I really care, but the fact that she slam down our drinks and food, well that's just unacceptable. For being the first two there we got serve last! There were 4 groups of people who came in 10-15mins after us ordering hot plates while we only had sushi and we got served last!? That makes no sense. Now even when the service isn't great, my fiancee and I always leave a tip but because it was my birthday, my fiancee wasn't having anything of that and left her nothing and I agree with that. I've been there since and I haven't seen that waitress, perhaps they fired her? The establishment is better without her.

This is the best sushi place I’ve ever been to! My family and I come here every time we visit Amelia Island, and the food and service are always great. They even give you free appetizers of soup and a fried crab dish. We came on my birthday this year, which the waitress noticed because I was wearing a birthday crown, and they gave me a free carbonated strawberry drink (I can’t remember the name of it, but it was good). I had no expectations for any of the places I visited on my birthday to give me free things, so I already thought this was really nice, but then they did more! After we were done eating, the waitress asked for my name, and they brought out a plate of dessert (fried Oreos, which I love, green ice cream, which I’m not sure what the flavor was but it was really good, and orange slices), lit a cool spinning candle that played the “Happy Birthday” music, and sang to me! Truly such a thoughtful and wonderful experience, I would recommend this...

Whoever i had the displeasure of speaking to from this establishment is out of their mind. I placed a pick up order for what I thought was the Yulee location, but i accidentally called Fernadina and placed the order which was admittedly my mistake. When i got to the yulee location they informed me of my mistake and so i headed toward the fernadina location to pick up my order. My GPS was having issues finding this location so I attempted to call the establishment 3 times. First two times i got a beeping noise as if the number was busy and the third time it rang several times and disconnected. At that point i gave up and went home. Hours later some irrate women calls me from an out of state number yelling at me calling me a liar saying I never attempted to contact them. I gladly sent this number screenshots of my call log after she hung up on me. Keep in mind this was two rolls not an $80 order. Dedinitely wouldn't recommend a place with this type of...
