I normally NEVER write reviews and that’s for personal reasons. This incident has to come to the forefront. I placed an online order this morning around 7am Thurs 10/9 my receipt said my order would be ready at 720. I left my job to get to the diner on time. I arrived at the dinner 7:15 am walked in. There was a white waitress with a hat && ponytail walked right passed me. I didn’t say anything because I thought he was busy this is at 715. 720 comes STILL NOTHING. So a white couple walked in THE WHITE WAITRESS CHEERY SAID TO THEM “Good morning welcome in follow me I’ll seat you” at this time im looking crazy because not only did you not greet me IVE BEEN STANDING HERE FOR 5 mins and you had the audacity to greet the white couple but not me. So im standing there looking puzzled, here comes another white couple. A short Hispanic girl with a black button down came greeted them and walked them to their seats. So the first waitress man walk pass me again so at this point I’m annoyed frustrated and all of the above. So I stop him dead in his tracks, but as I’m stopping him I see an older lady walking up putting my to go order on the counter( she was more apologetic than the man). I look at the white waiter and I simply said I’ve been standing here longer than ALL of the people you have seated I didn’t get a warm welcome, not a you need anything can I help you with anything NOTHING you simply ignored my very presence because of the color of my skin. So as I’m stating this to him he SWEAR me up and down he greeted me and told me my to go order would be up.. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME IF U NEVER GREETED ME OR ACKNOWLEDGED my presence how in the world could you tell me YOU KNEW I was waiting on a to go order. Like yes racist still lives on, but sir if you are going to treat me any different than the next you need to find another job. What makes my money any different then the white man/woman money. I know it probably wouldn’t matter, but I wouldn’t give this business another dime of mine. I’ve had it with you all. And not to even speak on the customer service that was just blantly racist and nasty. My food was cold I requested well done omelette that mess was runny I couldn’t eat nor enjoy it. On the brighter side the pancakes were GREAT..-I was having a wonderful day until that racist experience I encountered here at your restaurant. Thank God I was hungry and tooo hungry at that because I would have gotten a refund for my order. Freaking ridiculous.. and after I said what I had to say he had the audacity to look me up and down and apologize like take it somewhere else you...
Read moreWe came to eat breakfast right about 11 o’clock and chose the huevos’s rancheros con chorizos and a Mexican omelette which were beautiful and delicious …my husband ordered a 15.00 Philly cheesesteak omelette that was described as being filled with steak. When it arrived, it was obvious very thin as you can see the difference in portion size of the other two plates… He chopped the omelette up to see if maybe the steak had just been put in one lump only to realize there was hardly no Philly steak inside his omelette. When we question the waitress about this, she was obviously not wanting to deal with it. She took the plate back to the Cook and he said that’s how they come.… She offered for him to choose something else, and of course by the time they had finally came back to the table, the rest of our party was done eating and he said no, but he would like to talk to a manager who never came… When she brought our bill we had been charged for extra sides however she took the omelette charge off of our receipt… When we went to pay for our meal, the manager was there and we let him know the experience and how poorly it was taken care. He was super kind and apologetic and appreciated that we would let him know about our experience. Thankfully, I had plenty of leftovers from the other two omelettes that he can eat later, but it did ruin our dining experience to even have to bring the issue up only to be treated by our waitress like she could not be bothered to make the meal right… We were glad to pay the price… So we were not there for free food… So in our opinion, we expected them to make the omelette right so that we could leave with full tummies which was our goal in entering the establishment in the first place. My husband was kind enough to even leave a tip, but it did not give us a satisfactory...
Read moreWe were seated quickly and the menu had lots of options- even to do dairy free. I had the chicken and waffles (3 chicken tenders on top of 4 small round waffles, served with maple syrup and a ‘blueberry butter’) and he had the Breakfast burrito that came with 2 sides. Food was good. Parking was tight. Getting there from the opposite side of the road was challenging. I dropped a star because the booths were tight. I am below average height and I was sitting with my chest against the table. No breathing room at all. when I slid into the booth my hand came up with someone’s hair. That just grosses me out. It wasn’t in the food. But when I saw how sloppily they turned over a table (cursory wipe down) I knew why. So I know that is a one off experience so I’d go back. Maybe sit at a table? The server for the table next to us handled a difficult couple. I heard their order - both altered the standard menu item, and changed something after their turn. I still followed because he wanted what she didn’t and visa versa. The food came out as ordered and they complained that it wasn’t right. I’m thinking- yes it is. The server was polite and they were satisfied. The food was good and the only thing I would change is...
