AMAZING! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Definitely worth the stop!
We spotted the garden first while at the Walmart across the parking lot. Once we learned it was for Townies Pizza we HAD to try it. Using their own fresh ingredients out of their own garden right there in the parking lot? Yes please!
They use many of their garden ingredients, but obviously some things they have to get elsewhere or use non-fresh. My oldest kid was somewhat disappointed that they didn’t grow their own mushrooms 😂 but we were all pleased with the fresh pineapple instead of canned like most places use. Their garlic butter is house made as well and was delicious!!!
Everything made to order, even the single slices! It isn’t just a slice from an hours-old pizza, but instead a slice of dough that is built with whatever toppings you want. There are also a variety of options for sauce if you want an alternative to traditional pizza sauce.
The atmosphere is great too! We loved the tv playing undersea video of sea turtles and fish. There is also art for sale by the restrooms, a cool skateboard bench (my son loved this), and clean restrooms. Staff was super friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable. There are also tables right outside and even picnic tables next to the garden.
The ordering process: walk in to find the menu over the counter, order, you’re given a number on a tabletop surfboard, pick a place to sit, and they bring it out when it’s done (this may not be the case if you’re wanting to sit at the picnic tables though; they aren’t easily seen through parked cars)
We will definitely be...

TLDR: my first time here and it was very delicious but results may vary. Absolutely worth a try over any chain though. Support local!
Detailed version: I ordered two pizzas and the flavor profile was on point! You can tell the ingredients are fresh just by how much flavor is in each bite. Here is where I think the issue is: consistency. After reading through some of the negative reviews, I have no clue what people are talking about that the flavor wasn't there, it totally was there for my pizzas. However, the crust texture was different. One of the pizzas, it was fluffy and just melted in your mount. The other was on the tougher side. So, I can see why results may vary, and why I think there may be a consistency issue. Service was cool, no complaints. The wait was normal, ~30ish minutes and it wasn't busy at all. I can see why people are waiting hours if it is busy. You are paying for quality, but I can see why the crazy wait would be frustrating as it makes planning difficult. You don't know if you're pizza is going to be ready in 30 minutes or 2 hours. Again though, you can't have quick and quality, so make your personal choice there.
The garlic dip was by far the best garlic dip I've had. And the dessert knots things were delicious too.
From what I've seen on the reviews, the owner is very responsive, so kudos on that. Definitely shows you care. I'll be back and adjust the rating as necessary. Really hoping the consistency is there in terms of high...
Read moreMade the mistake of ordering take out. We ordered a Caesar salad, Greek salad, and garlic knots. I opted to have chicken added to my Caesar salad. A few minutes later, I get a phone call from them advising me they were out of chicken. First off, I have no idea how this is possible, but ok. It happens. She offers to swap it for extra bacon. I agree. Extra bacon is always welcome. Get to the restaurant and go in to pick up our food. Get to the counter and give my name, and the lady at the counter asked me if I was cancelling the Caesar salad. I then tell her, no, I was just adding more bacon as I had advised the lady before her. They give me my food and I proceed home. Once arriving, that's when the real fun began. The Caesar lacked most of the ingredients that make it a Caesar. No dressing, and no Parmesan cheese. All I had was lettuce, croutons, and lots of bacon. Bacon can forgive many sins, but that's a lot to ask. Especially when the bacon was chewy. Croutons were also stale. The Greek salad did at least come with dressing, but it was missing the pepperoncini. The garlic knots were amazing but missing the side of marinara. Moral of the story, if you are ordering take out from this place, check every bag they give you. I guess that's kind of on me, but this really is a lot of things to mess up. Or maybe we really messed up and expected a pizza joint to know how to...
