Today, I visited Edaleen Dairy ice cream shop, after lying to my two sons that I was just going to get a coffee before meeting them at the grandparents' place. I had noble intentions of not ordering anything, but immediately upon entering realized the futility of such an intention. I ordered a Peanut Butter Cup for $4.99. It was amazing. It was everything that a Canadian Diary Queen dessert is not, even when you give the employee the universal "don't-be-stingy-with-the-toppings" wink and nod. This sundae had an easy half inch of hot fudge at the bottom of the cup, not to mention the quarter cup of melted peanut butter topping and additional pound and a half of crumbled peanut butter candy, plus the required whipped cream and cherry on top. The ice cream itself, made in-store, probably tasted fresh and delicious. I don't remember too much, as my vision tunnelled and I began to feel my pancreas crank up like a cold-choked engine. I certainly don't blame Edaleen Dairy for the sugary goodness in each of the delicious toppings on this sundae, as they are undoubtedly within FDA standards. I would simply caution folks with blood-sugar issues to not be lured by the siren smell of waffle cones, as I was. That said, I will most certainly visit again, once the sweats stop. 4...

Edaleen Dairy has been a favorite for me and my family for as long as I can remember. I usually go to the one in Ferndale. Once in a while I'll go to the one in Linden because they have Dutch Goody's like almond paste which is the number one for me. Kyle who works at the Ferndale edaleen Dairy is absolutely my favorite. He's got great customer service skills and is very friendly. UP DATE, I have now been going to Adeline dairy in Ferndale for 7 years. I have had no troubles no returns nothing. Until today I had purchased black licorice ice cream about 5 days ago I live closer to Lynden and I talked to somebody about when I opened the ice cream it was ..completely Frost bit. I asked if I should bring it back no don't worry about it just come on back into the store and will exchange it. So today I drove all the way from Lynden to exchange my ice cream. The girl that was serving see me was a complete AirHead and did not know anything about the rules or the policies it was a complete joke. I mean really 599 to exchange it's not like it was $1,000 so I asked her to have the manager call me no phone call...

QUALITY LUNCH SPOT. EDALEEN Flagship store: I come here often alone to order a sandwich or a sub to go, Be prepared to wait for the sandwhich as they locate all the ingridiants, and help a steady flow of ice cream🍦and now gelato🍧 customers. and if you order the largest sub it takes them a good 10+ minutes to make it because it is so huge if you have it loaded up with all the veggies, i I order it with the soup and usually finish the super hot self-serve soups before the sandwhich is ready so no dipping🍜. If you got the meal don't forget to get your drink like me near the Schoop's you can have the milk or a pop or a chocolate milk or a water . This location has tons of edaleen merch like sweatshirts and definitely is their biggest location making it the biggest one in their chain. 3 locations now? Yummy, edit: 3pm on a tuesday 70+ degrees, looks packed, almost stopped but i only wanted a beer, somthing they dont carry. Since this is a dairy-store they have huge ice cream stores and choclate and reg. milk, cheese and other related grocerie items in all sizes...

While we’ve been trying to avoid travel to the United States lately, we occasionally head south of the border because we can’t find the same diversity of products in Vancouver. On one such trip, we stopped by Edaleen Dairy in Ferndale to grab some ice cream since the weather was so hot. Named after Ed and Aileen Bransma back in 1975, Edaleen has 5 locations now and serves up both soft serve and hard ice cream. Their Blueberry Vanilla Swirl soft serve ice cream is as tasty and as refreshing as you could imagine. We also grabbed a serving of their Rocky Road hard ice cream. The “single” scoop that we received was rich and tasty but left something to be desired in their presentation skills. The ice cream here is really good and they also serve up sundaes as well.

A must visit every time we cross the border, usually after crossing into US to make the drive to Tulalip shopping a bit less tedious lol. Fresh local made ice cream instead of the B&J though the latter I still have my favourites. Here, you must try these flavours: blackberry (seasonal), cappuccino chip, maple nut, chocolate tin peanut. Waffle cones for this size at $1 is a steal, freshly made though sometimes near end of day, they’re sold out. 16 flavours in their dip case!!! So lots to choose from their rotating menu. Also a good selection of eggs, mild and buckets of ice cream too. Amex approved. A winner indeed!
