Went in a few months back and tried to get their steak dinner special. Came in, sat down at a dirty table, had 3 servers ask what I wanted, took almost an hour for the salad. Some couple came in with their dog on a leash, escaping during dinner and going into the kitchen while everyone was all "Now Now, what a cute dog". All I could think about was, GROSS!!! How disgusting to let a dog back in the kitchen and not get on the owner about losing control of his animal. Finally, I watched as 2 other tables who came in after me got their steak first while I just sat there full on the small salad. I ended up telling the owner guy what was the deal, he looked clueless like a deer caught in headlights. Just apologized, I said I won't be coming back. Guess you have to be a known person, or bring a dog with you, or just know the owner or something. I walked out, never returning back. I bet this bar is great for the inbred hillbilly hippie folk who all know one another (cause they're all related to each other). Unfortunately, I guess they don't have time or room for new clients trying to experience the joint.
Sidenote, even the band that night had bad equipment and their set was horrible. All the speakers kept ringing and making noise from the feedback. With all the nonsense, one could assume this place has no real future. The decor looks as modern as 1980s high...
Read moreI really like Main Street Bar & Grillâespecially karaoke nights hosted by Mr. K (shoutout to Wednesdays!). He runs it like a pro: fair rotation, great vibe, and everyone feels like they get their turn.
But if Suzanne is the KJ? Prepare for chaos. It doesnât matter what night it isâif sheâs hosting, expect the worst karaoke experience youâve ever had.
She puts herself in the rotation multiple times while a long queue of actual paying customers waits. She wonât tell you where you are in the list or if youâre even going to get up. Thereâs zero communication. People mysteriously jump the line, and itâs no secret she plays favorites and even takes bribes to let certain people sing sooner.
If you like confusion, favoritism, and watching the host hog the mic, Suzanneâs your girl. If you want to actually sing and enjoy yourselfâcheck what night it is and whoâs hosting before you go.
Main Street is a great bar, but karaoke is only as good as the person running it. And when itâs Suzanne, itâs a...
Read moreI've been in to main street maybe 20 times in the last 2 years. All the lady bartenders are awesome. The guys as well. But the last 5 or 6 times I came in. Molly has been working. Before I hit my seat where I always sit. She had my drink in front of me before I got there. It was steak night. She remembered how I like my steak. I've only encountered her tge last few weeks. With her it's like cheers. She knew what I wanted and was on top of everything. Do not misunderstand me. Everyone is great. But the point is. She had my drink on the bar just as I hit my seat. I only have 2 other places that were on top of it. Here at glynn's Shamrock and a place in Michigan. She is attentive and knows when to bring another drink. I don't stay long. But it's nice not to have to order. It's just given....
