McDonald's — Restaurant in Ferndale

We stopped to grab a quick breakfast before dropping off our son at the Bellingham airport. At 5am there were 5 people working. One man was waiting for his food and there was one drive thru order on the screen so you would think with that many employees on and not very many customers say that time it would be pretty quick. We waited, and waited. All we ordered was a sausage mcmuffin combo, a sausage mcmuffin Combo with egg ($2 more then without egg) and a sausage mcgriddle combo. Well after waiting 19 minutes and our good was still waiting for the round egg...I had to call back to the workers (no one was in front) and of course the girl was irritated but at that point we had to go. I said just give us the the other mcmuffin without the egg. She snatched it up and didn't wrap it properly before handing it to the other girl to give to us.

We leave with the food (i didn't even ask for the $2 difference in sandwich because we really had to go. Driving down the road I open up the mcgriddle and it had no cheese and no egg.. I had the girl say something about a mcgriddle not having cheese but I had no idea she was making ours at that time. So yup after waiting 19 minutes from the time order was placed ( we still would have waited longer if we had waited for the egg for the mcmuffin) they still couldn't get out order right. The one guy that had ordered ahead of us told us as he left he had waited 15 minutes for one combo and they also messed up his order. I guess if they had been very busy it would have been different but they weren't most of the staff weren't doing anything and only I e drive thru order got cleared while I waited for my order. This manager say in her office in the back.

My son works at mc donalds so I know this is unacceptable and we will never return to this location. They need to be trained on how to make food and...

A comedy event:

While attempting to dine in, the manager was exiting the door and said that the lobby was closed, but it's okay, they'll help you out, so I went in. I was tucked away in the far corner and waited for my food. After a reasonable amount of time, my food was brought to my table. I started to look around and could not believe my eyes what I was seeing, and hearing. Because I was out of sight and out of mind, they circuis quickly went live for a highly entertaining evening:

1. I've never seen such filth in a resturant before
2. The entire night shift crew was screaming, yelling, laughing, having a great time doing everything except for working
3. Staff drop items on the floor and joke "oops"
4. The manager "Isaac" yells to his staff, "you make me feel like a woman more and more every day!". Real professional. . .
5. They posted a sign as I stated that the lobby was closed due to short staffing. I saw quite a few employees, didn't look short on people, just short on work.
6. They were running back and fourth around the counter. Other employees that were aparently off the clock but hanging around (no longer in uniform), just ran back and forth between the kitchen and the pigpen.
7. Another employee just dripped his melting cone across the floor on the way to the trash can, thought it was funny.

I could go on and on, but most peeps wont read this if it gets too long, just look at the photos for yourself. Every night shift employee starting with the manager should be let go. I guess I should know better, afterall the sign outside does say "play place", I thought that was just for the little kids. But aparently its for the big...

Sorry for the poor review bc I hate to be mean, especially to kids (the cashier told me he was only 17). BUT this location sucks. The food took so long to come out and it came out wrong. We placed two different orders at the self service kiosk bc we wanted to use the deals on the app. They were literally 30 seconds apart yet the orders came out 15 minutes apart from each other. So half the food was cold by the time we finally got to eat. I think it’s bc the drive thru line was so busy they neglect the dine in customers. Fries came out cold from the start. My husband ordered a double quarter pounder with an extra pattie added (so it was supposed to come with 3) and they forgot to put it on the burger. When we went to tell the cashier and he brought it back to the cook making the food we could audibly hear him denying that he made it wrong. “Oh I just made that man what’s wrong with it?!?Then proceed to give us back the old burger and just put a single pattie in a cardboard box instead of remaking the whole sandwich correctly so it would all at least be fresh/hot when eaten. We had to wait 10 more minutes for a new burger. So we ended up waiting about 30 minutes in total for “fast” food. Ordered extra pickles on the mc doubles but there were only 2 on the sandwich. They don’t have a soda fountain machine inside the restaurant so if you want a refill you have to wait in the line behind other customers trying to order. For $40 spent at a fast food restaurant I would expect better quicker service. Only good thing that came out correctly was the mc nuggets.
