China Chef — Restaurant in Fernley

It actually really upsets me to leave this review, because we have loved ordering from this restaurant regularly since we moved to Fernley. Over the last month and a half, I have tried contacting them at least twice a week, multiple times each time. During these attempts, my calls have been ignored and sent to an inactive voicemail message (many times forwarded to it) or I have been hung up on. We were questioning if they were even still open until I had seen the recent reviews. Your customer service used to be phenomenal, guys. It really makes me sad that you have lost our business because of something like this. I tried contacting them just now to have my call ignored, then hung up on, then just being sent to auto message.

Edit: we came back after a year or two, and the service has gotten much better. The woman who took my order on the phone was very polite, and my meal was hot and ready when I came to pick up less than 30 minutes later. My only complaint, though, is it was definitely rushed - my meat was tough and overcooked, and the veggies were very undercooked. The sauce and tea were pretty good. I'll give it...

7/17/25 Another good lunch special visit that comes with delicious egg drop soup, egg roll and wonton crisp. I had a craving for my favorite Crispy Szechuan Beef .

We also enjoyed their sesame chicken lunch special and BBQ pork appetizer.

They have a variety of beverages - tea, soda, a couple choices of beer and wine.

We often stop in but usually take advantage of their free delivery take out order.

4/25/25 Always good to know and rest assured you will receive good consistency - food and service ! Usually quiet but you can rely on quality food in a relative quick time.

Dine in, take out or deliver which we have taken advantage of all three- especially their free delivery.

I'm a set the stage,stinky sewage back up outside,employee with wet vac elbows in what appears to be a sewage compartment, flowing to the city sewage drain with lid open,Two hostess was very nice,food was extremely terrible.My expectations are high ,as I know what decent Asian food taste like,i have yet to find a decent place west of Nebraska;should of known better.(I was hungry and had a 7 hr drive ahead)egg rolls was minature,please experience what tasty healthy eggs rolls are,on east cost.lo mein was bland,color was sort of spaghetti, this place thinks if you lay any item on lettuce that is an acceptable garnish,The food is terrible, maybe the locals enjoy it,not knowing anything elese,but I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone,if anything I will reccomend this place to have it reviewed by the board of Health,I will not submit pictures,not knowing their situation and respect for the town but on 07/05/2020 something was not right at all.P.s.please get real...
