Ranch House — Restaurant in Fernley

Ranch House steak house inside Silverado in Fernley Nevada used to be a great place to eat... not so anymore.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I went there, we arrived at around 8:20 p.m. they supposedly close at 9:00. We were told sorry, but we're closed. So, we had to find another place to eat... actually Red's BBQ in Fernley.

So gave them another try tonight (11/14/24) with a party of 3. Tried to order the New York Steak and Shrimp. Was told "sorry, we are out of New York steaks and Ribeye steaks." I commented to the waitress, "I thought this was supposed to be a steak house, but you have no steaks?" So, I ended up ordering a hamburger... I can get a hamburger from McDonalds, don't need a steak house for that.

Later we found out that they had been purchased by Truckee Gaming a couple months or so ago and that they had been out of steaks for 3 days. And that this never happened with the old owners. Not sure why we weren't told they didn't have any steaks or there wasn't a sign on the door so we could go elsewhere before we sat down and got drinks.

I would NOT RECOMMEND the Ranch House in Silverado casino... seems to be poorly ran and they may or may not be open and may or may not have food if you go there. We will NOT be...

Food was good. Horrible service with the waitress. We seen her 20 seconds after receiving our menu to take our order. We asked for a moment to see the menu. 20 minutes later another areas server asked if we had been helped as no drinks were on our table. We told him we were still waiting for our waitress to come back. He said he would get our drinks and find her. She showed after he had given us our drinks. She did take our order. But we never seen her again. A different server brought our food. The male server again passed by and noticed my drink was empty and offered to refill it. After finishing the meal we sat for a long time until our waitress finally showed and asked if we needed anything. We asked for our ticket. A few minutes later the front desk lady who checks people out brought our ticket to us. I asked for a manager. The girl asked what was wrong? I asked are you the manager.. She said no and stood their. So I told her about our bad service with our so called waitress. She never contacted the manager for us. But met us at the front to take our money for the meal. It was slow when we were their. I can honestly say we will never...

My wife and I went to the Ranch House at the Silverado Casino for breakfast Thursday morning around 9:30, the host didn't say a word just took us to our table put the menus on the table and walked away. We waited for at least 10-12 min for anyone to come to our table to ask us if we would like anything to drink, and another 10 to 12-min before our waitress to come and take our order, and that was after we asked another waitress if she could take our order. Then it took another 15 min for our food to served, and it was served by the busboy, we never saw our waitress again (Sariah) and our check was given to us by the busboy. There were only 5 other tables being used so it wasn't like they were busy. We tipped the busboy since he was the one who took care of us. If you go there, we suggest you ask to be seated at Cindy's table. Normally we have great experiences there, but this time...
