Vallarta Restaurant — Restaurant in Fillmore

We moved to Fillmore about 5 months ago and finally tried this place now we come here at least once or twice a week. Food is good, prices are decent, customer service is great and did I mention the margaritas are delicious! Not once have I had a bad experience. 2 days later....OMG what just happened!!! The first part of my review was all good then 2 days later I invite my parents and brothers for dinner come to find out the prices went up way up, our bill was over $200 and we didn't even order big meals. We each had a margarita so 7 total.I was so disappointed 😞...i use to come here twice a week not anymore! It was good while it lasted. Now to find a new restaurant...hard to do in this...

Great menudo! Our huevos rancheros were delicious. Our fault for not asking for over medium eggs..medium well was ok..potatoes with the huevos rancheros mmmm excellent! I had a bloody Mary was good but I should have tried margaritas! Next time for sure! Service was great! I'm a critic of my favorite corn tortillas.. I'm sure they are great on other days but today they did have distinct taste so not a fovorite this time.. we will be back..." Was in Fillmore on business, and that small inner voice of mine said to give this place a try. Am I glad I listened this time? You bet I am! While not fancy, this place had top notch service, and the home made chorizo was phenomenal, well, at least it was some of the best I ever tasted, and not even slightly greasy, as is often the case elsewhere. I stopped for breakfast, and would recommend Vallarta in Fillmore to anybody. Good home style cooking and a friendly staff make this a place I will go back to every time I am in the vicinity.
