At 7:25 pm on 12/15/18 Myself my wife and my son visited Wolfies at Geist and just abruptly left due to the horrible service by the hostess. The waitress did nothing wrong. On arrival the hostess to set me my wife and my son very close to the door. So my wife asked the hostess can we please be moved to one of the three open booths near us, Because it is extremely cold by the door. The hostess said No! The booths are for Large parties. At that time I looked Over and saw three elderly people sitting in a booth. So this time I personally walked over to the hostess and asked ,can you please move me and my family to one of the 3 open booths because it is extremely cold by the front door, At that time she said to me No! Those are for larger parties, I then pointed out to her look there are 3 people just like us sitting in those booths. She said those people have been here for a long time. Please understand there was no one waiting to be seated during the time I was having the conversation with the hostess. I walked back to my seat and set down with with my family, then a party of four people walk In the restaurant and Set down in 1 of 3 open boost where I was asking my family to be moved. My wife then looked at me and said let's leave Now ! I hope Wolfies Did not hire the previous staff from BellaVeda that were not friendly towards African Americans. I truly hope this is not the case . It is apparent that the staff and the management of wolfiers does not believe in great customer service. It is my belief because they are the only restaurants on Geist surrounded by multi million dollar homes ,They do not have to work as hard as other Restaurants ! This was the same fatal flaw of the last restaurant that was in their place. Me and my family left and went over to Eddies pub which gladly served us in a great manner. Thank you...
Read moreA group of my coworkers and I go out to eat once a month to try different restaurants, and yesterday we chose Wolfies at Geist! We were so excited. Parking was a challenge at first, but we finally found a spot. We got there and wanted to sit outside for the great view, but we were told that it would be a 40-50 minute wait for seating outside and inside. That was a bummer and there were a few empty tables and chairs scattered inside and outside but we were told they were reserved for people on the wait list. So we reserved a time and walked around outside. About 10 minutes later I got a text to come inside to be seated! So we went to the table (which felt a little cramped) and asked if we could have the table next to us which was a little bigger. Our waitress told us that there was a wait for that table as well and that we couldn’t. So we just stopped asking. Then we ordered waters and a couple of drinks from the bar. Our waitress informed us that they were out of water glasses and brought ours out in to-go styrofoam cups. Then we ordered our food, the waitress came to bring us actually water glasses now, and waited. Then we get done with everything, and she brings us the bill. We joked that our friend who just got the new job should pay, and then asked our waitress to split the bill between us. Our waitress came back with our bill split and still put them together in the holder because Wolfies had also ran out of those too! Overall, it was a good night. I expected more from Wolfies never having been before, but it felt like a normal restaurant with nothing special. I don’t know if the waitress was having an off night, but usually it wouldn’t have been a problem to swap tables or to ask how we would want the check split. I did, however, like to hear the live music as we walked...

Let me tell you something—Wolfies Grill on Geist Reservoir wasn’t just good… it was everything. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The management didn’t just make space for us—they made it personal. They graciously allowed my husband and me to get married there in the most intimate setting, offering multiple on-site locations for the ceremony and leaving the choice entirely up to us. No pressure. No limitations. Just love, flexibility, and Southern hospitality at its finest.
Our party of 15 was handled flawlessly by John, our unforgettable server. He was meticulous, kind, and totally on point. Every order was right, every glass stayed full, and every guest felt cared for. But what made John truly legendary? When I pulled out my portable karaoke machine (yes, I bring it everywhere), he grabbed the mic and killed a chorus of “Livin’ on a Prayer” like he was born to headline. The whole table lost it—in the best way possible.
As for the food? Those shrimp tacos with coleslaw were cooked to absolute perfection. Fresh, flavorful, and balanced just right. I’ve had shrimp tacos before, but baby, not like that.
The restaurant itself was spotless, the service was unmatched, and the warmth we felt? That sticks with you. Wolfies didn’t just feed us—they saw us, served us, sang with us, and sent us home full in more ways than one.
Final verdict? Come for the food. Stay for the vibes. Leave with a memory you didn’t know you needed. And if John’s working—tip extra. He’s the real MVP.
