Loved this restaurant and it's service until last week when the manager on duty flat out refused to correct my order because it was made and heavy laden with sauce. She told me she would charge me full price to remake and that it would come out of her pocket if she had to remake my food. The shocker of it all- she was my server two weeks ago in Napoli's when my food was made incorrectly. All I wanted was my sauce changed on the special. Special thanks to Veronica who was our server who surely thought the manager on duty would make sure I was a content customer who had been frequenting Napoli for years. Of course she became upset when my husband addressed her. However, I paid the bill with untouched food I refused to take because I knew it was not made to Napoli's standard. I was disappointed in the young lady who was the manager on duty that night and highly disturbed because she attempted to throw out server Veronica under the bus. We tipped Veronica before we paid but I have never been to a restaurant where they didn't want the customer to be satisfied. I've seen the owners treat their paying customers in a decent manner and made sure their experience was a pleasant one. However, the young lady who was a brunette and the manager on duty did not exert leadership well nor ensure customer satisfaction like I have experienced the multiple times I have been there. The only reason this review is not a 1 is because Veronica, our server tried everything in her power to appease me except she feared getting in trouble and was shocked that my order wasn't corrected. It was disappointing to say the least from a former...
Read moreOrdered dinner out tonight and giving 2 stars because the salad I got was just ridiculous. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp for $14. First, with being take-out, a salad should never be tossed with the dressing. The result was a completely saturated glop of a mess. You could barely see the lettuce because of the amount of dressing. I couldn't even taste the lettuce, only dressing, and it lost all its crunch. It was awful. Second, the shrimp was tiny (like popcorn shrimp without the breading) and extremely overcooked and some pieces still had pieces of shell on (these were not served tail-on). I shouldn't have to chew a tiny piece of shrimp like it's a tough piece of pork or chicken. It was very chewy. Third, the salad was placed in a regular sized styrofoam container with only half filled with the glop of dressing and the other half with the 2 skewers of overcooked tiny shrimp. I imagine it was maybe a 3/4 of a cup of lettuce. So for $14 it wasn't much and it looked likea puddle of goo. I ate the shrimp because I was hungry, but threw the salad away. We live over 15 minutes away, so it's not worth us driving back (30 min round trip). If we were eating in the restaurant, no doubt I would have sent it back and ordered something different. They should probably just take this off their menu, and unless they serve a salad with large grilled shrimp (not popcorn sized), they shouldn't serve shrimp at all. Total waste. Don't bother...
Read moreIt was my Wife and my 35th anniversary. As a first time visitor and an anniversary dinner of course I am going to read the reviews.
Most were good and then a few REALLY Slammed the restaurant. We decided to take our chances and went anyway. After all it received an overall rating of 4.5 stars.
Went in, was seated right away. The server was very up beat and had informed us that we just missed a huge rush.
Let me tell you this, you wouldn’t have known it because the food was ABSOLUTELY Delicious.
My wife’s chicken parmesan was huge with all kinds of sauce and cheese and I had spaghetti with mushrooms and the added cheese bake with sausage and meatballs on the side. Meat sauce was FABULOUS . I could not stop eating it and had to keep making my wife taste it. The French bread, well, SPOT ON!!!
The ambience of the place was not what you would see in a fine dining restaurant but who cares. Obviously ALL the people that kept coming in for pick up orders obviously knew the value of the food. Wish I lived a little closer to this establishment. But then again maybe it’s a good thing I don’t.
Do yourself a favor and eat at...
