Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Five Forks

Great if your Vegetarian/Vegan! I don't eat meat, eggs, dairy, and an extremely small amount of butter or mayo. I visit Tropical Smoothie every Friday after my workout next door at Barre3. My favorite is the Mocha Madness with almond milk, decaf, with pea protein. I don't normally order food there because I have a strict diet, however, I did ask if they could substitute beans for meat, and not only were they willing to do that, but they also have a meat substitute called Beyond Meat. They will substitute any meat for Beyond Meat free of charge. I am including a picture of the menu in my review. Where you see the two brown squares on the menu, you can opt for a vegetarian option. I received a Tropical Cafe coupon in the mail. Since I had been looking for a smoothie place in my area, I decided to give it a try. I walked into the store about 2pm and was greeted promptly. I said that I had a coupon for a smoothie. The young lady taking my order knew exactly what I was talking about and exactly what to do for me to use it. (It is a pet peeve of mine when I have a coupon for an establishment and the staff doesn't know how to process it.) My order was taken and my Peanut Paradise smoothie was prepared. Went in last Sunday around 5PM. Got a smoothie that was so-so. Food looked good but I don’t know if I’ll go back to find out. The restaurant was a mess. I couldn’t find a table that had been wiped down. Crumbs and drink rings everywhere. Flies throughout the dining area, floors were visibly dirty, as if they hadn’t seen a mop in weeks. Since the counter is low, I stood waiting for my drink, but I saw that behind the counter, including the cooler where ingredients are stored, as well as the counter where food is made was covered in spilled food and crumbs.
