First of all, don’t ever order there without ordering the lemon pound cake. Especially if it’s made fresh.. it’s painfully good.

As far as mall food goes, this place isn’t that. Although they don’t offer a lot of meatless options, the selection of made-to-order food is impressive. The wait period is a lot longer than your typical mall food order, but it’s the result of making your food to order. Which I’m willing to wait a few extra minutes for. The decor/set-up is outdated but it’s got a real ‘mom and pop’ vibe and for someone who wants something other than sweet & sour chicken or pizza, this is your place. The catfish sandwich is the best I’ve had from anywhere. Portions are big, staff is pretty chill. Side orders are nothing out of the ordinary.

First time trying the food here and was VERY disappointed. The service was great, you do have to wait for a few minutes as they cook your food so it's fresh. We got Mac and cheese and seasoned potatoes for our sides and the taste for both just wasn't good. Mac and cheese tasted like nothing but garlic and the potatoes had seasoning on top but were still a little hard and raw tasting and no taste to them at all. The ribs were pretty good, tender and flavorful. Definitely disappointed in the food as I've always heard good things about this restaurant. Personally don't think it was worth the money we paid but the service...

Just nasty me and my wife drive from Saginaw trying to support black own business and yessss me and my wife was so disappointed when we got our food when I tell you both plater was so nasty we spent 47.87 and we only took about 4 bites out of everything we bought to try to see if we was tripping but when I tell you we wasn’t Tripping it was the food was horrible no seasoned on the fish and the rib tips was fatty and not clean and the bake beans taste so nasty who put cinnamon in bake beans...
