Stopped by this afternoon to grab a soda and a couple of ice cream cones as a treat before running an errand. When we pulled into the parking lot one car pulled in right in front of us and there were only a few other cars in the parking lot. I pulled right up to the speaker to order and a young girl said to order anytime. Since I knew exactly what we wanted I started to order only to have the employee taking the order talking to someone in the background. She asked me to repeat my order so I did. I pulled around and paid then moved to the next window. A very nice young lady handed me a cone then the soda and told me to have a good day. I told her I still needed another cone. She informed me that I had only paid for one, and I told her I ordered two. I grabbed my wallet to pay for another one and she went to talk to the manager. She came back and told me they were too busy to ring up another cone. I reminded her that I ordered two because there were two of us, and while I understood there had been a mistake I still wanted another ice cream cone. The girl went back and talked to the manager who had a nasty look on her face and then the girl and the manager came back to the window. The manager proceeded to tell me that I had only ordered one, that they always ask customers to verify the order is correct on the screen, (which they didn’t) so I could have corrected the error. She continued to want yo argue and even began raising her voice at me. She finally said “Fine, I will get you a cone, pull ahead.” She then proceeded to slam the drive through window. Customer service is everything to me. I will forgive almost anything and go with the flow if there is good customer service. All she had to do was take my money and get me another cone. A quick sorry would for the mistake would have been nice and off I would have gone on my way. Instead, she was argumentative, rude, and set a very poor example for the young people in her charge. I feel sorry for the young people working there as they do not have a positive role model to look up to for what is probably many of their first jobs. Sam Cox, the owner, stated in an interview that he likes to hire young adults who have completed the Teen Quest program because they come in ready to work, have more job skills than other new hires and they have a good work ethic. I applaud him for reaching out to such a great program for perspective employees who have taken the time to better themselves. Perhaps he needs to see if his manager on duty at about 5:15 on 4/20/22 is eligible to participate in the Teen Quest program to learn the skills needed to be a successful and...
Read moreI visited this location at approximately 11am on Thursday, January 4, 2018. The employees filled my order incorrectly, but that was the least of my worries. As it turns out, the food was contaminated. Within a few hours of eating the received food, having not consumed anything else, my 18 month old began vomiting, and had a terrible case of diarrhea. Today, January 7, 2018, my child is still recovering from food poisoning.
Additionally, his mother and I received food as part of the order. Knowing that McDonald's is the culprit, and we, too, could have food poisoning, it was a waiting process to see what would happen.
Between the two of us, I was the first to be affected. Sure enough, two days later on Saturday, January 6, 2018, I was hit hard with the same symptoms as my child. A bad case of diarrhea, vomiting, and my stomach is in knots as I write this.
With no clear and apparent symptoms, mom thought that she may have gotten lucky, and escaped unscathed. That would have been great, right? Unfortunately, there are no happy endings here. Just this morning, January, 7, 2018, as I write this review, mom has been hit pretty hard with the same food poisoning symptoms as our child and I.
The Miller/Ballenger Rd location is no stranger to issues. Not only does customer service leave a lot to be desired, but with only one drive-thru line, wait times are abysmal, and food is normally luke-warm.
However, the last thing I expected is to get food poisoning. Mishandling food is a serious situation, and this experience has completely ruined my association with McDonald's. I will never visit another location again. When I'm in the mood for fast food, my money can definitely be better spent somewhere else.
Words cannot express how concerned, upset, and disappointed I am with the franchise. As a result of this, McDonald's has lost a customer for life. I will most definitely urge all of my friends and family to not spend any of their hard earned money with the company as well. It's just not worth the risk.
So, to anyone reading this, be cautious of the food you receive from McDonald's, this location in particular, where it's apparent that the Manager and his/her staff doesn't have the customer's best...
Read moreMy complaint is not with the food. The food was great! My issue is with the drive through employee. She would cut us off mid order to ask "is that it?" We would say no and continue ordering. By no means a large order. She forgot a specific item when reading back our order, no big deal. We weren't upset it happens. So we remind her of that item. She reads it back perfectly. Get to the window she says nothing, just holds her hand out. We say good afternoon and give her our card. She hands the receipt and it's missing that item which happens to be a part of the $3 combo which means without there being two items we get charged more for the single item. So we tell her we are so sorry but we are missing the item on the receipt. She rolls her eyes and said i read back everything to you and you agreed so I dont know what to tell you. We said yes you read it back correctly but this item isnt here. It's not a big deal can we just get it and pay for it? So we get our food and the item isnt in the bag! So I take the bag and receipt and this is the moment I realize that without having the item rung up together you get charged extra for them by themselves. So I was charged extra for both items. I go inside and nicely tell the lady at the register. I never get mad or rude because it's just food at the end of the day. I dont tell her the whole situation because I'm not interested in making this a long big thing. I just say I was charged separately thereby paying more and didnt get the item. I dont even ask for the money to be returned. I just want the item. The drive through lady says when the register lady goes over there. Ugh uh this b#%$h didnt order that! Obviously I did because it's on the receipt not to mention we just spoke specifically about it at the window but I say none of this. I say nothing in fact because my small children are there and I dont want to scare them by getting in a fight. I get my fries from the register lady and I leave. The food was great. The service from all but the drive through lady was just fine. The building seemed clean and...
