Had to update my review after multiple really bad experiences. They will not all fit in this box. One time I went in and ordered a hamburger cooked. They brought me a hamburger that was so wrong to meet wouldn't stay together. I politely asked the waitress to take it back to the kitchen and ask them the microwave it for about 2 minutes, I did not ask for a remake. I watched her take the food to the end of the aisle and set it on the waitressed stand and talk to the owner for about 3 minutes and then bring me the food back. Don't think she realized I could see her the whole time. When I told her she did not take the food to the kitchen and that I could see her talking to the owner the whole time, she lied to me and said I was mistaken. I told her okay, don't worry about it. A couple minutes later the owner comes over and he tells me that I should eat my food and I got it the way I ordered it. I told him I ordered it medium and he said this is medium, and I said well to me that is undercooked, but it's okay if somebody can just microwave it for about 2 minutes and cook it longer. I was not asking to have it remade or get anything else or get a discount just to have it cooked a little longer. He persisted to stand at my table and tell me how he knew what he was doing after forty years of being a cook and an owner and I should understand that is medium, again I politely said you can call it what you like but I would prefer to be cooked a little bit longer, please take it back and microwave for a couple minutes. He refused. I then told him to never mind, and I was not going to eat it but I would pay for it just to put everything at an end. He still refused to leave the table insisting that I ordered medium that was medium and that I should be happy with it. The owner literally stood at our table for at least 5 minutes trying to persuade me to eat that burger while my friend finished his food. When we were done we got up to walk to the cashier and pay our meals, the burger was still sitting on the table untouched and I paid for my bill. The owner then said let me make you want to go. I looked at him and said I never wanted you to remake it I only wanted you to cook it longer. When you would not do that while I was willing to eat it here, why would you now if you want to send me home with one. At that point I paid for the food and started to leave at which point he stood in front of me and between me and the door. I had to tell him to move out of my way and that I would not be back. This was just the last of multiple bad experiences at this restaurant. Since then several of my friends have had similar experiences and have not returned. This happened quite awhile ago but I never updated my review. For the owner to treat any customer this way is beyond ridiculous, it's just horrible. Who cares if you say it's medium or raw or burnt, if a customer ask for it to be cooked a little longer.. JUST DO IT. What is your hang up and why did you find it better to be problematic than to just cook it more?? On another occasion they brought out cottage cheese that warm and watery and we asked for some that was chilled and not watery, the waitress insisted "she personally checked the temperature before bringing it and it was exactly 40°... Seriously.. she personally checked the temperature.. come on, if you are going to lie to a customer, you should at least choose a lie that is not easily proven wrong such as water re-warm cottage cheese. Again why the headache was just getting something proper. Trying to give them another chance, we found out two days later from a waitress that we know that their food cooler had been out of commission for 2 days. This would line up to the same day of the warm watery cottage cheese. One time we had leftover food, and the waitress charge $1 for a styrofoam container. Another time we all ordered separate meals and I one of us couldn't finish their breakfast and asked for a small plate to give a couple pieces to one of the other people. They charged $3 for the plate, even though everyone ordered...
Read moreIf possible, I would give 0 stars. Today, my family dined at this establishment and we have gone pre and post COVID restrictions. We have always enjoyed their food and most of the waitresses services. However, today when we had received our bill it had an additional 13.00 fee on the bill. It was for an automatic gratuity. We were not upset at the price just confused. Our waitress had been great and provided excellent service. My family went to pay our bill and my sister had questioned as to why there had been automatic gratuity applied to a bill that had 4 people with one of them being a child less than 10 years old. The waitress who took the payment had stated that they "Had to make a living too". Basically stating that irregardless of how the financial incomes of it's patrons is that since COVID-19 restrictions they had an automatic gratuity applied to all dine in orders of 4+ people. This not only brought the order up by $13.00, but took us by surprise since they had not mentioned that anywhere in signage or on their menus. When my family had continued to ask why the decision was made by the owners to apply the automatic gratuity they reiterated that "they had to make a living" and that those are the breaks. Later, when we called the establishment and asked to speak to someone about the cashier's rude behavior we spoke to the owner themself. They not only proceeded to defend the cashier's behavior or actions, but tried to defend the automatic gratuity as well. Stating that times are tough and that because of precious patrons skimping out on the tip they enforced the gratuity. Not only is this horrible on a number of levels since this is not a restaurant in a larger city where that would be expected, but this was for simple diner food that had the price tag of something of a higher calibur such as filet mignon. The times are hard for more than just it's wait staff. It's hard on all of us and it's unfair to implement a tax on diners just to give themselves a fair wage. You shouldn't exploit your customers be aise the establishment is too cheap to raise their employees wage. Will be reporting to the BBB. Don't go here if you value your family's...
Read moreI usually don't have a problem at this restaurant I actually used to love coming here but today I received a take-out order one of my meals I ordered onion rings when I got home I noticed the onion rings were not cooked all the way and super soggy and the garlic toast that came with my other meal was soggy as well the toast could be saved by putting it in the toaster mainly was wanting the onion rings replaced because the rest of the meal was okay.I called the establishment to let them know about the items I was not happy about and the person that was on the phone immediately tried to blame me for the soggy food saying did you leave it here too long how long did you leave it here? I stated that I picked up my order right away I did not leave it sitting there and that I was just calling to let them know and if I could get compensated for the items that were not good wasn't asking for the whole meal to be fixed. she proceeded to be very rude and that she would not compensate for it and that I should have looked at my order before leaving I told her that the person who rang me up had it wrapped up and said you're ready to go so I didn't think I was going to have any problems because I come there a lot and usually don't have a problem then she was tired of talking to me about the situation so she put me on hold then hung up on me I called back she hung up on me again I am furious and feel so disrespected. Beyond unprofessional. I will never come here again after how rude and nasty I was treated if she didn't want to refund the items instead of customer blaming she could have been more sympathetic and at least apologize for the nasty food instead of hanging up in my face and being extremely rude will not come here ever again and will be sure to tell others about my experience . Can't believe how rude the staff member was to me not sure if it's one of the owners or regular staff but her attitude was...
