Sherman's Lounge — Restaurant in Flint

Sherman’s used to be a fun bar with live music, decent bar food and strong drinks. Simce the new owners took over it’s been a downward spiral. At first, they didn’t even have live music and the staff was cut and in desperate need of training. Then they started getting bands in again, but the food isn’t as good and the drinks are a joke. I name my liquor, I don’t care for the well, but that’s what they serve while charging a premium. They don’t have enough servers so you have to constantly track them down. Parking has always been an issue and no improvements have been made. Sherman’s is located in a very sketchy part of Flint. It’s just not safe. Last night was the last chance for Sherman’s. Literally half the tables were “reserved” with zero people actually there while the mediocre cover band was playing. Senseless. They do not want your business and will prove it at every opportunity. I’ve gone to this place several times and i will tell you now I will NEVER go again. My friends came to visit from Miami and we wanted to go play pool, went in on a saturday night and got a pool table and sat down. We weren’t disturbing anybody and one of our friends went to the bathroom, don’t know if it was the security guard or a friend of the security guard but he said racist things to my friend. Well after that I told the actually security guard that the guy said something racist to my friend and made us all uncomfortable and pointed him out and he said oh no that’s my friend i’ll talk to him. Yea well a great talk they had, we ended up leaving cause it was just an uncomfortable atmosphere at that point. Learn to not judge people just because of how they look. Beer was worm and over priced looked seems to be an ok bar but needs a few fixes in my opinion but that's me bartender was great and cheerfully and remembered my name even thow their looked like a pool tournament going on and she was only one there it looked like and it looks like the kitchen is closed when it's open so might be cool to invest in an open sign just outside of that kitchen that way your bar patrons have that indicate that they're open instead of the dude just standing in the door every once in awhile roaming around doing nothing when he could be actually cleaning the equipment pulling the equipment out and making it a little bit easier on the morning guy and...
