Jade Cafe — Restaurant in Florence

I've been eating at the Jade Cafe for over 15 years. Up until recently I have been pleased with everything about this restaurant. My complaints center around the obvious changes with the food. The prices go up everywhere, which is normal and to be expected. If the food remains consistently as before, I'm all good. Unfortunately, Jade Cafe has been cutting corners with the amounts and ingredients on their meals. The sauce is probably half the amount they used in the recent past. So now I order extra sauce, not asking how much it costs, because, again, I like consistency. Today, I ordered the Shrimp and Vegetables with extra sauce. OMG, the sauce was so thin, almost like broth. Maybe they forgot and didn't bother to fix it but put water in it since it was a take-out order and I wouldn't complain? I don't know. The vegetables were not the nice combination or amount of the past either. None of the cute mushrooms used to have 2 or 3. And just less of everything else. I'm over it! We just moved to the area to retire 3 months ago. We had a home in Maryland way out in the country that took us 45 minutes to town. We can't believe our good fortune in owning a home 15 minutes from town now. We have ordered take-out from Jade Cafe twice now and the food is good and plentiful. They dice up the veggies like zucchini and carrots, they have given me oodles of shrimp. We end up eating on one of the platters two nights in a row. They give so much for the money. Having Jade Cafe nearby for us is a real treat. 01/25/24 Things have changed for us with Jade Cafe: The food has changed a lot, less of everything, less sauces, doesn't taste the same as 2 years ago. I will never return to this place again. My wife wanted Chinese food for mother's day so we ordered take out from here. Ordered 4 different family combo meals with soup. After picking up our food and returning home I thought half our food was missing, no soups and enough sides so I returned back to the restaurant to see if they just forgot to give us all the bags. The lady then tells me that they must have misunderstood and taken the wrong items down....no attempt to correct the order, no sorry for shorting you on half the things you wanted just tried to justify the whole thing by saying we only charged you for single items, not the combo dinner you ordered.
