Kopper Kettle Restaurant — Restaurant in Florence

Not child friendly, went in with my wife and 16 month old daughter. Used to come here all the time before the change in owners. Took 10 minutes to get drink order, another 40 minutes to take our food order. After waiting the first 20 min for the server we asked the very friendly bus lady for the server to take our order she informed us that the server is just very busy but will take our food order ASAP. In that time our daughter became more and more fussy, server blatantly ignored us, took 6 other table orders that all came in 10-40 minutes after us. It's hard to forget about a table with a fussy Toddler that's just hungry. After all the other tables received their food, I finally walked up to the server who was walking away and she asks us if we're ready to order now. After finally receiving our food, the hash browns were under cooked in the burritos. The pancakes were rubber even our toddler wouldn't touch them. After finally receiving our check the server tells us to not mind the syrup that was all over the check, wouldn't bother us usually but after such a horrible experience it was the final straw. My wife is a server at a local business and even she was frustrated by the poor customer service...

Grabbed breakfast here the other day. Had a smothered breakfast burrito. Single meat and Small size. Food was good and the portion was spot on. Downside was the (all too often) cold plate with hot food. Breakfast fail. The eggs inside were fairly hot, hashbrowns warm but after that the green chili was luke warm. It was all pretty much room temp as I worked towards the end. Yes it was good. But there's NO excuse for plates not being hot (Los Compas in CC does it right)

The service was very nice. Found a chair and was given a menu within a minute and drink order taken. Very friendly ladies taking care of the customers. Coffee never went empty. Table cleaned off, check given and never pushy.

The atmosphere (large room, never saw the smaller room) and the furnishings don't match up the the cute sign and logo. Rather cafeteria vibe with banquet tables and chairs and generic booths. Had visions of a more "down home" and decorative style than a room full of tables and chairs. There's room for some decor and hominess to perk up the place.

Overall: worthy stop.

Used to love this place. Key word used too. I don't go out often because everything has gotten a little more expensive but decided to treat my family. Asked for waters for the table only got 2 out of the 4. The waitress got my order wrong tried to blame me that I told her that's what I ordered. What she brought me was disgusting the green chili was gelatinous. Someone ordered chicken fried steak don't understand how the coating could be gummy but it was. Ordered a burger well done, came out medium. No one checked on us to see if we wanted coffee or more water. Had to get the bus boy to find our waitress, she came back slammed the check down n walked off. Paid the bill n left a tip not that the service warranted it. She did comp 3 out of 4 meals considering most of it was wrong or inedible. Shame that this happened today considering I Talked highly about this place. Won't make that...
