My family went in for an evening dinner service on a Saturday evening. They made reservations and waited longer than normal for their food, their drinks took a long time to get as well as their salad. They are regulars to the establishment so they definitely noticed the longer times. Their waitress actually stopped waiting on them at one point and another woman kind of took over the table, it was overall a bad experience. They were there celebrating a birthday for my Aunts sister that evening. They sat them at a small table there was five people all adults present and they crammed them into a small table. They waited longer than normal for food which can be expected on busier nights, however when they visited after their meal the waitress started clearing their table and even tried to take their drinks while they were visiting. I called the next day to let management know what had happened, I lost service and called back and the manager that I spoke with didn’t even want to speak with me again, the girl on the phone told me The manager was too busy to take my call ? Too busy to take my call? I then asked if there was another manager I could speak to or if she was a manager herself and she said no, i can take your call? I would think a restaurant Manager would want to be aware of any complaints by customers. My parents were previous restaurant owners and would listen to anything from customers good or bad my mother certainly wouldn’t have refused to take a call from somebody that was telling them about a negative experience in their restaurant.. She then got defensive with me after I told her my parents themselves were actually restaurant owners and were actually very disappointed in their experience how the girl was trying to take everything from them while they were visiting. She told me that it was standard practice for them to pre-bus tables to get a higher turnover rate of tables sat. My mom being a regular said that has never happened to her before there, they have never rushed them out of there like they did that night ! Then she asked me why I was calling what was the point of my call, if I was just calling to complain or if I wanted compensation? Like I have never been treated so poorly. I told her I just wanted them to be aware of how my parents and family were treated as they love the place and were very disappointed in there service and they felt that they were pretty much ran out of...
Read moreLast night my family went to Quincy's to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. We arrived at 6:05PM and was seated immediately. Our waitress took our 5 orders and a take out order and left. We waited almost 45 minutes and noticed that people who arrived after us were served in a timely manner, but we were not served our salads yet. We did not see our waitress so we spoke to another waitress who was serving her customers in a timely manner and requested she get our waitress. Our waitress then appeared with the salads and we didn't see her again. We waited another 45 minutes and noticed that during our wait time other customers who came in much later than us were served both their salad and main course and were leaving, so we finally spoke to someone behind the bar to see what happened to our meal. She said our order was never turned in, but that it would be in line to be prepared. Another 15 minutes passed and our waitress appeared, without an apology or any comment and hurriedly served us our meals. She mixed two of our meals so the people got the wrong servings and the filets of two of the 6oz. servings were tough and over cooked and the 9oz. filet was full of fat. The waitress appeared again briefly and asked about our drinks for the first time and was very hurried and crisp. We finally finished leaving portions of the uneaten filets and requested our take out order. She brought us the wrong take out order and another waitress rushed over and took the order saying our waitress brought out the wrong order. We were upset with not only the time spent while others were served and left, but with the quality of food. When the waitress brought the checks, there were tips assessed to the check. We protested that the service was terrible, the quality of the food was poor at best and that we didn't want to leave the waitress a tip for food service. We're not sure who all we spoke to, but they refused to remove the tip told us we had to pay it. Rather than put up a fuss, we paid the bills and left. Oh, by the way, I noticed that the cook in the kitchen had a cap on, but had shoulder long hair with no hairnet. Not good sanitary conditions in my view. I will not return to the establishment and will not recommended to anyone else. The arrogance of the staff and their attitude that "the customer must accept their insolence" is...
Read moreThis was my dad's favorite restaurant in town. I can see why now.
First of all when they mean a wedge of salad, it really is a wedge of lettuce salad. I honestly thought it was the most creative way to serve a salad. The ranch that is served with it, definitely tasted house made. I like to make my ranch dressing home made and this was even better than home made (and I like to consider myself a foodie).
I want to start off by sharing that I've had Filet Mignon all along the east coast as I have lived out in North Carolina for the past 13 years (I was born in Caňon City and raised all over colorado).
I cannot stress this enough when I say, this is the best Filet Mignon I have ever had IN THE STATES.
You know that saying... you know it's a good steak if you don't need to use sauce? You do not need sauce for these filets. The seasoning and flavor was on point, like a party in my mouth that I didn't even know I was invited too. I feel like these filets would put Gordon Ramsey to shame. In fact, I have no doubt that Gordon Ramsey could not make a filet as good as these and I believe this is saying a lot. The potato served on the side, is just as expected a baked potato. We really need to be focusing on next is the bread it is served with. First and foremost, carbs are life and I LOVE bread. I love home made bread (my mom makes the best home made bread, you can fight me on this), bakery bread, anything that is not what you could get at kingsoopers or Walmart kind of bread. Don't be intimidated, it looked like it was going to be crispy but then BAM. It was like getting slapped across your face - I didn't even know what hit me. This bread is was so soft, it was like my tongue had a little pillow. In fact, this was more of like a desert and the best kind.
Anyways, like I said this was my dad's favorite restaurant. He passed away 2/14/24. So if you've read this far, go in and ask Jackie (who by the way is so freaking cool) for a whiskey Larry. She wont know what your talking about but she's that fun, she'd play a long.
God...
