Popped in for a late lunch at the "NEW" pizza place across the street from us. They had several pies to choose from for their "slice for $4". I chose a MOST delicious piece with tomatoes, red onions, spinach, and garlic, and I added a single garlic knot, and an A&W Root Beer, all for $8+change.
Oooooohhhhhh, was this pizza yummy!! He had heated it up piping hot in the stone oven and added the garlic knot to toasty warm. I picked it up and went to my seat after choosing the eating utensils I wanted to use, just a fork, because you tear it off with your hands and the fork, eventually dropping the fork and using just your hands.
This pizza was crispy exactly where it was supposed to be crispy, and chewy where it was supposed to be chewy. The garlic was perfect! Big chunks mixed in my cheese with my veggies. This pizza didn't overpower with too much of anything, but it had just enough of everything that you could taste it all. It was magic 🪄. Looking at it, you would think, "Geesh, could you maybe give me some toppings?", But they hit the nail on the head! Not too many, not too few. It's clear we've become a nation of excess (which may soon change), but this place has it all figured out. Kudos, Agrigentos!
Now, I had to go back later to get the tiramisu for my hubby. It's his favorite dessert. There's ONE place that he compares ALL others to, and when I looked at the one in the display case, it looked EXACTLY like that place, so I asked them...
"Do you make your desserts in-house?" To which I got the reply of, "Yes we do! Thank you for asking."
So, a piece of that tiramisu went home and into the fridge. Hubby was very excited that night when I told him there was a surprise dessert in the fridge for him (usually that means I've found the fudge eclairs from Publix). While he was eating it I asked him some questions:
Yes, it was very good. Actually, it tasted just like the other place. Now, do I think they lied and they got it catered in? Not at all! The tiramisu at that other location is FAMOUS and you can find the "secret" recipe for it online. The dessert chef at Agrigentos probably just loves their tiramisu just as much as Hubby does and snagged the recipe from the Internet, or whoever gave them their beloved recipe did...

Restaurant: Agrigento 5227 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton FL 34209
Main Question: Is the food worth the price? Answer: Yes, I believe so.
Wait Time: None
Food: We ordered two pizzas and a chocolate cake. The one pizza was a vegetarian, no cheese, light sauce pizza and it was delicious. We were very happy with the amount of veggies they put on the pizza and you can see by the pictures it was a fantastic pizza.
The second pizza, however come out with a pepperoni pizza and was not as good as the first. It was very oily from the cheese and the pepperoni. More oily than most of the pizza places that we see.
The chocolate cake was extremely dry. I would not order that again.
Atmosphere: I like the atmosphere. It is comfy.
Cleanliness: They serve plastic ware and paper plates, which I don't mind. This is not a fancy dine in restaurant, so I enjoyed having the paper plates and the plasticware. It's not what I would expect to add a typical pizza restaurant.
Service: The service was awesome. If I could give the service 8 to 9 stars, I would. We enjoyed the people here a lot. They're very fun to talk to and interact with and we're overall just fantastic. There's not a lot of service here but behind the counter service that people were outstanding.
Price: Our bill was over $70.00, but that was only because we ordered a VERY specialized pizza with tons of toppings. Your bill will be a lot less I am sure.
Recommended: Yes, I will come back here again. I won't order the cake or the pepperoni pizza, but I will order that vegetarian...
Read moreO.M.G. One of if not the best Italian Subs that I have ever had. I was out walking the other day and noticed a new(er) Italian Pizzeria Caffe Agrigento's; they make their own home made rolls, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, if you come from the greater North East you'll understand. I grew up around Philly this is how a roll is suppose to taste and feel. So of course I ordered their Italian Sub the flavors of Banana Peppers, FRESH Mozzarella, Salami, Capicola, Prosciutto, along with lettuce, tomato and onion and the mix of flavors the texture of the roll all come together. I can't say enough. But they are not just a pizza and sub place they have a whole menu. My wife and I tried out their appetizers some Calamari Fritti, also some of their Limoncello Cake for dessert it was all so flavorful. I plan on checking out their Supreme pizza along with some of the other dishes like Shrimp Parmesan, my wife wants to try out some of their Eggplant Parmesan and I can't wait to taste their Greek salad. Although they also have a Caprese Salad and a Antipasto Salad which sound mouth watering. They have Pasta Dishes and a Beer and Wine list. The shopping center is on the corner of Manatee and 51st street. Small restaurant with a few tables along with a couple of tables outside. The atmosphere is friendly and they believe in their work. Food made the way it should be with Love You won't be...
