Alphy's Restaurant & Catering — Restaurant in Navarre

A place of ever changing unwritten rules. This was one of the first places my family ate before even moving to Navarre a few years ago. We loved it, and that was lunch, after having breakfast it was even better. Once living in the area we were excited to "locals" and have this sweet little joint to go to and would go at least once a month. Starting last year several times we had brought friends we not only waited nearly an hr to be sat (on a week day) but waited the same for our food, without even having a full restaurant. We blew it off as we still loved the food. A few more instances like that occurred, but just blew them off until, we were meeting a friend on a weekend and we're told we could not be seated without him. 30 minutes went by and while we were upset with our friend for being late, a local breakfast restaurant you'd think would cater to its people, but instead their more worried about making money and continued to seat people before us until finally our "whole party arrived." That is only acceptable at a restaurant where your also required to suit up. I could go on, but needless to say, while alphys has good food, their customer service is solely directed towards dollar signs and they could care less about the people who would keep them running for years. Some places are worth waiting for, but somewhere that treats you like this and doesn't do take outs on weekends because "they just can't" but you can wait, sit, get your food and leave after taking someone else's spot is just bassakwards. Stop in and try the cinnamon pancake but don't expect any...

We waited longer to get our food than we did to be seated. We came here on a Thursday morning and this place was busy. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Once me and family were seated we were greeted and placed our drink orders. When the waitress came back we placed our breakfast orders for both our kids and two adults. It wasn't a complicated order so we expected to be served in a normal amount of time. Long story short we ended up waiting over 35 minutes without anyone checking on us to tell us what the long wait was for. There was no reason for the long wait and we weren't the only ones. The Manager never checked on us even tho he kept walking in and out of the main room. Once we received our food my son already had a meltdown from waiting too long and the food didn't look worth the price. The home fries/potatoes had good flavor but was lacking in portion size. My wife's dish had bacon and it was burnt. The eggs were lacking as well. I also asked for biscuits and i still got toast, when I mentioned it to our waitress she said she was going to get them and never did. We were super upset and was never checked on. Then adding insult to injury they had a sign that stated that they closed due to heat. We were never informed of this and was left in the dark for the poor service. We will not be coming back...

This was our 2nd time going the first time was great, we had a wonderful experience because of our waiter. She was the only perky one there who made the place worthwhile. Always in a ponytail she was amazing. And then our 2nd time our waiters name was Wendy and she was awful, didn't bring us any silverware until after our food came, brought coffee with nothing to stir it with. My mom and I ordered the big breakfast of eggs and porkchops.... and the porkchops were the size of my palm (which is pretty small) it had more bone than meat. We ordered pancakes before our food came and didn't receive them until after she brought us the bill. She never came to our table to check on us the soda was flat, the lemonade and Sprite tasted funny. We took the pancakes to go and ate them the next morning only to find out that they were burnt and tasted bitter. The employees rudely stared at us as we walked out the restaurant and when we came in, as if they've never seen a Hispanic family before. And when we asked them to stop staring they still kept staing. And the place was full of flies, we had to keep swapping them away from our food every minute and ut was very annoying. Overall terrible service and terrible food, we will not be coming back...
