Went there today as a outing with my wife and young son. Got there and was able to sit immediately because it was still fairly early. We ordered the shrimp in like a lemon and wine reduction for a appetizer and it was by far the best shrimp Iāve ever had and my wife hates shrimp and ate more than I did. Then I ordered the chicken Marsala and that is a dish that Iām crazy about. Itās my favorite dish of all time but everywhere I get it itās not a perfect Marsala sauce. But this chicken Marsala I had tonight was the absolute hands down the best very best. I canāt say how good it was. The mushrooms were sautĆ©ed perfectly the chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce could probably win awards if it ever was to be entered in a competition. I graduated from Le cordon bleu and I canāt even make Marsala sauce like that nor could my culinary chef that I trained under. And it came with a side of fettuccine. The portions are huge and it is 100% worth the extremely fair price they have their food for. It seems cheap for the quality of food you get. The dessert I had was Tiramisu. So to finish that amazing and by far the best chicken Marsala I had and after the amazing shrimp appetizer I thought something would have to be bad since I canāt remember the last time I had a perfect full course meal with appetizer, entree, and dessert. But the Tiramisu was absolutely to die for. Perfect portion, and was absolutely fantastic. I will 100% be back and our server by the way was so accommodating and very fast very nice and made our experience even that much better. Overall the best dinning experience Iāve had in over 10 years. I would go on and on about how good this was but I think Iāve said enough. To end this review Iāll say this. IF YOU WANT GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PORTIONS, GREAT FOOD (THE BEST FOOD), AT ABSOLUTELY GREAT PRICES GO TO HERE. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. THANK YALL FOR THE MOST AMAZING FOOD AND THE MOST AMAZING OVERALL DINING EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn our last day in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, we stopped at Angelina's Pizzeria & Pasta for lunch.
It was exactly the type of Italian restaurant I love, with that family friendly feel that is the perfect atmosphere for pasta and pizza. I got the lunch version of Seafood Fra Diavolo, with rigatoni replacing the linguini it normally comes with. The seafood included clams, shrimp and scallops and everything was perfectly prepared, nothing overcooked, especially not the pasta.
The sauce, Fra Diavolo, literally Brother Devil, is a spicy tomato based sauce for seafood. As the name implies, it has a bit of a kick, but not an over-powering one. It is similar to a few generous shakes of dried red pepper. It was also just sweet enough to bring out the tomatoes as well as balance the other savory flavors.
With the lunch portion, I also was given two garlic bread sticks and a simple Italian salad. The bread sticks were good quality and a great accompanying side to lop up the sauce without being overly complicated. The salad was the same and resembled something you expect at a family meal at home but with an outstanding vinaigrette based Italian dressing.
Others at our table ordered a two-topping sausage and pepperoni pizza which had a thin and perfectly crispy crust and light application of robustly flavored sauce. A pet-peave of mine is soggy crust, this was completely done without over-cooking or over-working.
The last item was the kids spaghetti with a meatball as big as your face. The meatball was good, but some flavor seemed slightly out of balance and it could have used a bit more salt. Still good, but maybe the weakest part of a great meal. The sauce was so good that my daughter could not stop saying how good it was while she hurriedly ate it.
Angelina's is a real treat if you are craving Italian without any of the pretense you get at some places. I can't wait to go back. My only regret is that we didn't go twice...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst customer service experience Iāve EVER had!!! The host told us the wait would be around 40 minutes, which we were fine with. When we went inside after 50 minutes, he apologized for seating another table of 6 before us. He then gestured to another table and told me we could sit there once they were done wiping it off. We sat when the busser finished. Behind us, a VERY KAREN lady was holding her child and telling her child how ānot niceā we were because she ācalled aheadā, and we ātook their tableā. (Completely unbeknownst to us!) Mind you, we called ahead too, and the manager shared there was no call- ahead seating under any circumstance. āKarenā kept rocking her toddler , and telling her entire party very loudly how rude we were, attempting to draw my attention. The manager came over and explained very loudly, drawing unnecessary attention to our table, that they had to move us because they couldnāt seat 10 anywhere else. I attempted to explain that the host had gestured for us to sit down, and she sharply said , āhe was wrongā. I have worked in customer experience for 20 years, and am appalled at how this was handled!! Head to Orlando and take the Disney Course on customer excellence. When I addressed the Karen about overhearing her remarks about me, my parents, and my three kids, she denied it while her party laughed. She clearly has had these antics before, since they all seemed to be embarrassed for her. Donāt spend a dollar here! We went to Brunoās, which had no wait and was absolutely delicious! The service was impeccable, friendly, and...
