This place lacks quality training for their employees. My wife decided to take us out to Applebees on providence rd tonight 6/16/24 Fatherâs Day. Yes I get it, itâs Fatherâs Day. When we get there host has to get a little creative but seats us right away. Host was great no issues with him. Server comes and gets drink and food orders, no complaints there all was good. BUT, then we wait about an hour and 15 minutes for our food. We donât throw tablets in our kids faces so keeping 3 kids under 5 entertained that long is tough. Still, I get it! Itâs Fatherâs Day!! So we did not complain about the wait time for food initially. When the food does come my wifeâs burger is well done and she asked for medium, as well as the salad came with no dressing on it at all. By the time we realize the server is gone and he does not return after 10 minutes so I ask the host to send a manager over when they get a chance. Goal was just to get the burger taken off the bill because my wife didnât want it and wasnât willing to wait for another one. So manager comes over we explain and she starts with âso did your server promise you a medium burger? Because we donât do that, only pink or no pink.â Okay, well any decent server or cook should know medium means pink. Maybe the server didnât know to say that to us, but regardless medium means pink. So why even bring that up? Obviously medium means she wanted pink. But no big deal really we just want to give back the burger get it off the bill. We also inform the manager she didnât get any dressing on the salad. No big deal just bring us some dressing right? Manager says sheâll take care of it. Our server still has not come back at all, no drink refills, no checking on us. Another 10 or more minutes go by and still no dressing for my wifeâs salad which is now her meal. Mind you, weâve been here more than an hour and a half now and the restaurant is now much thinner than when we got there. The nail in the coffin for my wife is when the manager delivers two salads with dressings to the table next to us, and still no dressing for my wife. So my wife grabs the kids sheâs leaving now sheâs done with the whole thing. Itâs not till another 5 minutes wife and kids have been gone manager comes back with bill saying she noticed they left so she got the bill right for me (taking the burger off). When she approached I just kinda pointed at the salad and she asked if I wanted a box? we still didnât get any dressing⌠and shes shocked. She didnât know we didnât get the dressing. I assume she told somebody else to get the dressing and she dropped the ball there. Obviously everybody else in the chain forgot the dressing and our server hasnât been to our table in a long a$$ time, so as the manager when this comes up you go take care of that dressing yourself, right now. Make sure it gets done. Itâs just dressing but itâs literally my wifeâs whole meal at this point. Weâre not asking for much here, dressing for a salad. So anyways manager doesnât address that just says sheâll take the salad off the bill. Great, thatâs the least you can do. Literally. She comes back with the bill then I sit there by myself for another 10 minutes, server doesnât come by to get my payment, still no checking in from him at all. The place is not busy now at all either. It was not an issue of being too busy; itâs new servers that donât know how to wait tables and obviously havenât been trained to, itâs a manager that may be new too and maybe she wasnât trained either. She passed the ball to someone else when she couldâve made all the difference by just bringing the dressing to my wife right away. At the end I walked plumb out of there and didnât pay for any of it. $26 after the adjustments and they didnât get that. Whole point of a family dinner out together is for us all to eat, wife basically got no food after the ball was dropped countless times and then nobody would come to get my payment.    Read moreI know itâs post hurricane and iâm greatful for a place being open to eat, but dont open your restaurant if youâre staff isnât competent enough to handle a half-empty restaurant. Host couldnât acknowledge us or speak to us directly, just slapped menus down and nodded her head to us to follow. Strange. Sat immediately but waited 30 minutes for a server to even appear, another 20 for our drinks so we asked for waters and still waited for those until our drinks. Food was hot but took so long we didnât even touch it and asked for boxesâŚ..after another 25 minutes trying to find our server. Manager was comping tables left and right. Table who sat next to us AFTER us got food and drinks before we even got our initial drinks, threw cash on the table and left. Before we finally got our check our âserverâ walked up to another table that was waiting 20 minutes and didnt even great them, just took out his note pad and waited. Ive never considered walking out of a restaurant before but damn. Couldnât even find the manager to complain. Never got our togo food just left without asking because we didnt want to wait another 20 minutes. Weâre there for over 2 hours and most of the restaurant except the bar area was empty. Ive been a server for years and ive NEVER had such bad service or lack of care from a staff member. One girl who ran food to the table next to us was nice and was apologetic to them for the wait and tried to help. Idk how you can have a member of staff not even acknowledge tables or greet people in general but we wont be back to this location. If your staff is flustered you communicate to the guest at the very least. We spent almost $100 and should have wasted our time and...
   Read moreI want to start off by saying I will never go here ever again as much as I went there Iâm officially done. Today I came in & was told it would take 45 mins for the wait which I was fine with, didnât take long to go sit, after sitting it took about 35 mins until I called a waitress to see who was going to take our order. The lady was helpful and got our waitress to our table and started by saying she didnât see us sitting and didnât think that was her table all while she was next to our table. We ordered our food and got our drinks and then waited another hour still no food other people came after us they had their food already and where about to check out. Finally ,the waitress said she didnât know where our food was that she will go look since it should have came out. She then brought one of the appetizer 30mins later then an hour later she was saying she had to make the other appetizers again because it didnât look right. So at this point it was already 2 hour into us being sat where I just had enough & asked for the check bc I was not going to wait any longer. Then later I was charged $21 for 6 pieces of chicken and 2 soda which honestly is ridiculous. I asked to talk to the manager and one of the worst managers attended us which was very unprofessional and plainly didnât care for the customers experience and blaming on being short staffed , and careless.
