Your average Applebees.i ypu like applebees then you'll love it. We did the curbside service where they bring your food to your car and we also ate inside a couple days before. Both times the service was good and relatively fast. The only problem I had was the people at the bar were very loud and using very harsh and unnecessary language. When we asked the waitress if there was anything she could do about it she pretty much told us we should expect it cuz we were at a place with a bar. We are from Cincinnati and we go to the Applebee's up there all the time. It is one of our favorite places to take the kids and eat. While we were eating the manager came to our table and asked if everything was okay and I mentioned the people at the bar. He pretty much told me the same thing as the waitress. And what really made it uncomfortable is I guess him or the waitress knew the people at the bar pretty good and I guess they mentioned that we were complaining. And surprisingly it got worse and we were getting dirty looks from the ones at the bar that were being loud and using foul language. If anything the cussing got worse. I have three children that are 15 12 and eight. I'm not saying they have never heard foul language before but it got really bad and the manager made no effort 2 ask them to settle down. Even the bartender seemed to be giving us dirty looks. And I am usually one that doesn't complain about anything. It may seem like I'm making something out of nothing but it actually got very bad. When we were leaving they made remarks about my wife and one man said we should of went to chuck e cheese with all my kids. After he said this my family went to the car and I went to approach the manager again just to let him know that the Applebee's in Cincinnati where we regularly go would never of tolerated people at the bar talking to other people that way.however when he seen me approaching him he turned around and went into the back room ! And I know that he saw me. I did not pursue the matter anymore and just left.We still love Applebee's and I'm sure we still will keep going there. But I don't think we will be returning to the one here next time we come to visit my wife's family. I hope this doesn't dissuade other people from going to Applebee's because 99% of the time everything...
Read moreVerily, upon mine entrance to the esteemed establishment of Applebee's, mine heart was filled with great anticipation. The ambiance within was warm and inviting, as if the very air was perfumed with the essence of camaraderie and joy. The gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses created a symphony that delighted mine ears. It was here, in this haven of culinary delight, that I was to experience a repast most splendid.
In sooth, it was not merely the fare that didst capture mine heart, but the service rendered by the fair Bonnie, our server. With grace and poise, she attended to our every need, her countenance ever bright and her demeanor ever kind. Her knowledge of the menu was profound, and she didst guide us through our choices with the wisdom of a sage. Ne'er have I encountered such a paragon of hospitality, whose presence didst elevate our dining experience to the realm of the extraordinary.
Amongst the many delights that didst grace our table, one dish didst stand above the rest – the chicken wonton tacos. Oh, how mine taste buds didst rejoice at the first bite! The delicate wonton shell, crisp and golden, didst cradle the tender morsels of chicken, seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, a symphony of taste that didst transport me to a realm of culinary ecstasy. Ne'er before have I encountered such a dish, and I daresay it shall remain unmatched in mine affections.
In conclusion, mine visit to Applebee's was an experience most wondrous, made all the more memorable by the exceptional service of Bonnie and the divine chicken wonton tacos. The memory of that evening shall linger in mine heart, a beacon of joy and satisfaction. Verily, I shall sing the praises of Applebee's and the fair Bonnie to all who wouldst listen, for it was a night that shall ne'er...
Read moreWe went here for a Sunday lunch. The food, once we finally got it, was very good -- not excellent, but very good (it's Applebee's...). The service we received was altogether another story. The host was not very welcoming, but he was polite enough. We were seated immediately, and, once we were seated, it took nearly 15 minutes for our server to acknowledge us, and then only to say, "I'll be with y'all in a minute." They were not very busy at that time. We he returned, he was unapologetic and asked what we wanted to drink, without asking about an appetizer. Before we let him get away, we went ahead and placed our entree orders. Drinks (sweet tea) came a few minutes later. From the time we were seated until the time we received our food, it was about 55 minutes. We had been debating paying for the drinks and leaving, and we were so very close to leaving and going somewhere else. We stuck it out, not wanting to start the whole process somewhere else. Not once, NOT ONCE, did the server apologize for the lengthy wait. Before our food arrived, he asked at one point if we were "doing ok", to which I replied, "Yeah, we're just waiting." He said, "I'm waiting, too. When the kitchen gets it ready, I'll bring it out to you." (Wow.) I believe this server has the potential to be a really good server. When we recently had to wait an hour for entrees somewhere else, the server apologized, took off the charge for the appetizer, and gave us free desserts. No efforts like that took place here. This server should seek to be more like Tyler, another server who was working in the area where we seated. Tyler was excellent and we were wishing he was our server. With so many other great places to eat, I don't know that we'll ever return...
