Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Florida

I visit this location specifically for the Baskin Robbins side (not a big fan of Dunkin Donuts). I was excited when this location was being built, as there is not another BR near this side of town; however, this store has been a huge disappointment. My husband and I have visited this store 3 times, and we will not be back. Realizing it's a new store, we stuck it out a few times to give them a chance, but the service has been exceptionally poor each time we've visited. In the times we've been there, the workers have been adults (not high school or college students), so I expected professionalism. However, the staff is always rude and inattentive. The workers spend their time complaining about their job and their personal lives, and it takes a ridiculously long time to get the attention of a worker, even when no other customers are in the store. The store has been messy every time we've been in, with melted ice cream and spilled drinks littering the floors and counters in both the customer and worker areas. The selection of ice cream flavors is also very scarce, and when they make drinks (milkshakes and blasts) they make way more than necessary and pour the rest down the drain. Not only am I appalled at the waste of product, but the service is absolutely unacceptable, the flavor selection is minimal, and the store is disgusting. I have been a regular visitor of the BR on Bayou Blvd for a long time, and I have also visited the one in Pace on Hwy 90 several times. Both of those stores typically have teenage workers, but the service there has always been very pleasant, helpful, and fun. The selection of products in both of those stores is much larger, and those stores are always kept clean. I will continue to drive 30 minutes to visit the BR on Bayou. I absolutely do not recommend the BR/DD on the corner of Nine Mile & Chemstrand. ...

It was horrible. I went in to get an ice cream cake, not being exceedingly picky about what they might have to offer. There was one couple in front of the ice cream counter, and three employees in sight. My wife and I went to the freezer to scope out the ice cream cake selection, but there were none to be found. Not only that, there were not even any SPOTS for ice cream cakes: every spot in the freezer was labeled for quarts of ice cream.

At this point, my wife was waiting up near the register to ask if there were any ice cream cakes anywhere else in the store that we might be missing, but neither of the two unoccupied employees would respond to her attempts to get their attention. Thinking "well, we will just wait behind this one other couple in line, then ask our question once they are done". One of the unoccupied employees then began talking to the occupied employee about unimportant personal matters, like how much she enjoyed working at Waffle House.

When we finally managed to ask our question, we were meet with a short "no, we don't have any ice cream cakes". The extremely poor service coupled with the lack of ANY selection of a popular product (ice cream cakes) means I will probably not be returning to this store...

If it were possible to give this establishment 0 Stars I would. I have been here multiple times and I have yet to have a consistent visit. The Scoops are always super small, half of the time the staff doesn't even know what the flavor of the month is or what kind of cone it is that you are asking for. It also seems that everytime I come the ice cream is so soft because they don't shut the lids on the freezers in between scoops. The staff there act like they got their education in a third world country and I think even that would be an improvement... it is really disappointing that no manager has read how many negative reviews there have been on Google and gotten the hint that hey maybe we're not doing something right? Most of the staff are rude, the ice cream always soft and under scooped and the prices are too high for all that! I will not be returning. Update: I have been trying to go to this Baskin-Robbin and get a waffle cone with my ice cream for over a month and I have been several times and I have never once received a waffle cone! All I have received your excuses that nobody knows how to make them and they do not know why they don't have any. This is a new manager and it's the same old story...
