FIRST AND LAST TIME VISITING BEEF O BRADY'S IN VALRICO OR ANYWHERE! Walked in no one greeted us just sat at the door for a while until I went to the closes server Taylor T (so happen to be our server) mentioned to her it is our first time here....do we sit our selves or is someone able to help us? No response as she proceed to give me her back she eventually said I will seat you. Let me be honest it's a Monday at noon it wasn't to busy for you to see the only TWO minorities standing at the door (everyone else seemed to noticed). None the less we are seated and my spouse goes to rest room since we are waiting...during that time Taylor T comes over ask if I know what I would like to drink I said HELLO! and sure I do but I am with someone so I will wait and again she ask well do YOU know what YOU want to drink? So as I could see she was in such a rush to take one order not both at the same time which is more work for her. I slowly ordered my drink until I saw my spouse coming out the restroom and as soon as my spouse sat down she says and what would you like?....Remind you my spouse just sat down and being our first time at Beef O Brady's we asked Taylor T what were some sweet drinks to speed it up for her. She points at the menu all of those are sweet we did get some kind of emotion when she told us she hates sweet drinks and a bit of small talk. We thought maybe she was in a bad mood before and we both are in customer service so we know it can be tough at times. We figured we would give it another chance we order the drinks we wait normal 5-10 minutes but Taylor T never stopped back over to asks if we were ready to order, if we were okay, or if we have any questions. Instead I watched her walk by our table twice empty handed looked over said nothing but every other table she seemed so happy to serve them. In fact another server brought out our drinks and I politely asked for the check at this time. Waited about 10 minutes to just be seated (plenty tables open), chased the waiter down which so happen to be our waiter, and now I was waiting to ORDER food another 15 minutes. However you know what came ASAP the check Taylor T wasted no time brought the check over asked you didn't find anything? Oh no, I did and was excited to try a new place in the new neighborhood. I just don't have time to continue to wait esp for bad service on a Monday after all this hurricane mess. Had Taylor T attitude been as awesome as she was at other tables smiles, chipper and checking in to see if we were okay... I would have had no problem waiting because my kids go to Valrico elementary (right around the corner). I was going to pick them up to join our lunch and order dinner since we are still out all foods because of the hurricane Irma. It would have been worth the wait I am sure food looks great but I would not know how it taste. I did not leave a tip even for the two drinks bc one of the drinks were wrong and who knows how long it would have taken to get the right drink. I am HUGE on customer service I have always left a tip but it was the worse experience ever at a restaurant definitely NOT going back. Will continue to go to Applebee's, Chill's, Outback...ect honestly anyone else would have been...
Read moreTo be totally honest it wasn't for "the cooks" and our waitresses Skyler and Catherine... We would probably find a new place to eat and only for these reasons...
Whose bright idea was it to remove the paper towel dispensers from the tables?... What you have done is added more work to the waitresses. When I go to any other restaurant there's paper towel dispensers on the table. I cannot imagine you saving a whole lot of money on paper napkins. The other thing is you decided to do is give very small portions of things like fries... a fry that was made from a potato that cost very little.
You've also change the batter for your fish fillets.. I get the big catch salad a lot. The deep fried fish was absolutely awesome before you changed the batter, now it's just... eh it's okay.
For the corporate manager whom may have decided to remove and discard the napkin dispensers, you sir should be looking for a new job. That was the silliest thing you could do to save a buck. Maybe you should remove the restrooms as well.
I mean who swaps paper towel dispensers for small portion paper trays to put on ones plate? The last thing I want to see on my plate is a paper tray, that is poor taste.
If it wasn't for your waitresses and cooks, I would have left store 074 a 1 star a short time ago when corporate decided Run a muck and change thing... You should be patting these employees on the back and kicking whomever that thought this was a great idea to the curb.
You raise the prices... Then made portions smaller... You should have kept the same quality and quantity of product coming out of the kitchen.
Just thoughts from a long time customer....
Update... This Beefs O Brady's management has corrected all the issues I had... Since then, I have been back many times. They get 5 stars...
Read moreThe second star is for service as our poor server really did her best. But this place is NOT allergy friendly.
I went to Beef O Brady's for the first time the other day. My friend has a real epipen kind of wheat allergy, so she asked to see the gluten free menu. The GF menu listed fries as an option, so my friend asked the waitress if the fries are cooked separately from other wheat containing foods as cross contamination is an issue. The fries are not cooked separately. So then she asked about the wings. The response that our server brought from the kitchen is that the wings are cooked separately, however the cook couldn't guarantee that something with wheat hadn't been fried in the oil last night. Again, this would cause an allergic reaction. At that point it became obvious that no one in the kitchen really seemed to know what was safe and what wasn't, so we couldn't risk ordering other foods that might be contaminated. My friend was kind enough to sit with me while I ate since I had already ordered, but it really wasn't fair to her.
I'm not suggesting that you have a whole separate kitchen for allergies, however, is this really the best you can do? If it's not really gluten free, don't offer the menu for people who follow the diet as a fad. It's really not hard to have one or two pots or pans labeled as gluten free in order to cook special menu items there. In the very least, you should be able to guarantee that you have a protein with vegetables or a salad that's gluten free. Additionally, you're risking people's lives by claiming that your menu doesn't have some allergens and then cooking them with the allergens. It's better to just say up front that you don't have a way to cater to allergies than it is to offer a menu that could...
