04/02/2024 Lunch. When we entered the place, I realized this might be a mistake. But against my better judgment, we sat down for lunch. I had seen other Beef O'Brady restaurants in our travels and guessed that it was a place worth trying.
A dirty front door, ripped booth seats, and a smell I couldn't recognize were the things that normally would have made me leave right away. But not today. My wife had the Dubliner. And it looked like an open faced hot roast beef sandwich on texas toast. I had a Philly cheesesteak.
So, this is one of those places that probably sold their entrées in the $7 to $9 range. I'm not sure our entrées would even be worth that much. But bc of Covid (I guess), $7 meals now sell for $15.
This is one of those places that jacked up their prices but still serves food that isn't worth the cost. How do I know? Because the roast beef they used in my wife's dish was the same roast beef they made my Philly cheesesteak with.
Cheesesteaks should be made with thinly sliced steak, not some cheap roast beef. I know this because I'm from Philadelphia.
On the bright side, the fries were super hot and tasty. The best part of the meal.
Anyway, we ate most of our food and left, never to return. I hate overpaying for mediocre food. This might rate as an everyday experience, but because the place was so dirty and neglected, I have to give it a "fair" rating overall. Not worth the high cost.

Read moreI gave the Manger an opportunity to resolve this issue and nothing was done. Horrible experience, please avoid this restaurant like the PLAGUE!! After traveling for an extended period I probably would get better customer service from the McDonalds or Taco Bell down the street. The waitress spilled a drink all over my dress and I had to offer to move to another table so she could clean up the mess, she didn't even think to do this, another waitress came by and said that we should sit at another table then she gave us the opportunity to move, strike 1. I understand that mistakes happen but the Manager should have came by the table to personally apologize and made sure everything was okay. I didn't want to ruin the mood at the table so I tried to make the best of this. After the meal I personally went to the Manager to tell her that as an act of good customer service she should have been by our table to check on us or offer a complimentary item or discount my meal. She told me that she wasn't aware of the situation and that was a blatant lie. She was told and choose to do absolutely nothing.
Word to the owner:
Good customer service travels and people will continue to visit the establishment. If the Manager would have made a slight effort and did SOMETHING I would have left this alone. Gave me a salad then came back and slid it to the wife. It had 1000 island dressing we all ordered ranch. We point that out she plucks the ranch from my bowl plops it in the wife's bowl. Returns with my ranch and the good. She sets down the malt ginger and scrams. I wait to see if she is bringing tar-tar sauce. No so we have to track her down to ask. She tells me they are out of tar-tar sauce. I say if I had been told I would have ordered something else, that I can't eat fish without tar-tar sauce. I agree to try. I ate 1 bite off 1 fillet. It was a no go. When she returned I told her I could not eat it to just take it off the check. She refused as we were already getting a $10 discount for mothers day and that makes up for it. I tried to explain how it did not that there were still 2 meals on the check 1 that qualified for the discount and 1 to discount. Just charge me for the side salad, and side order of shimp. She refused to do so, and was satisfied when I said I would pay for but just will not be back. I emailed the corporate franchise office in Tampa with my complaint.
