Service there sucks! I have been here several times both times I was greeted at the door or offered a menu so I seat myself just to be ignored for 30 to 45 mins while they only serve the regulars that are there everyday. Last 5ime I was there I had to endure a 15 min conversation with the waitress and a patron as to why she was wearing a hat and the service from her hairstylist all the while she never asked if she could help me or if I was ready to order. She had all that time but she didn't think of asking if I wanted a drink or to offer up a simple I'll be right with you or your waitress is....so after a good 45 mins Al the while I'm looking directly at any employee that passes the bartender comes to make two ladies across the bar a special type of shot but before she serves them she grabs another glass and pours from each a third shot because she didn't want to forget the drunk sitting beside me. I didn't think it fair that these two women had to have their drinks shorted for someone that's obviously a regular that tips well she finally looks at me and takes my drink order after she refilled everyone at the bar at least twice. I get my drink and ask for a menu but didn't want her to leave without taking my order because I didn't know how long it would be to get her back I order quickly from the specials insert just as it is listed 5 drums naked with sweet bourbon BBQ sauce on the side with celery and blue cheese and a side of coleslaw. She seemed confused she asked what do you mean "drums" on the menu if you wanted all drumsticks it was .25 extra or flats .30 I had to explain their menu to her. I get my food which had been carried around the restaurant twice by the hat waitress after she has asked everyone if it was theirs. It was a horrible experience and ruined after the lady 3 down from me vomitted on the floor needless to say that was an experience I...

Brookes Restaurant & Lounge, Hancock Bridge Pkwy, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I order the a special of the day, a blacken fish sandwich with cole slaw and fries.
Blacken should be spicy. So I made the special request for then to kick it up. They did.
Around here anything that suppose to be spicy is wimpy. You must ask to ensure.
The fish was blacken on a toasted bun. A fantastic side of cole slaw. Creamy, sweet a bit tart best in the area. I got a cup of chili. Not so good. Lots of ground beef and beans. But TOO sweet from the tomatoes. Its needs more cumin, cayenne pepper and onions.
Large portion of fries.
My taste buds are more sophisticated than the local yodels so I have to kick things up a notch.
All for 11 bucks or so. Plus a additional bottomless soda pop.
Generally this place always has good chow.
Service was grand. When in doubt on what to eat this is the place to go.
Brookes Restaurant & Lounge, Hancock Bridge, North Fort Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter. I went for the special , cajun fish and black beans & rice. The fish was perfectly cooked ,season with cajun spices, BUT dumbed down for the wimpy taste buds of floridians. Just not spicy as you would find in the bayou. The black beans was flavorful with a touch of salsa. But again I needed to add hot sauce. I like my food like I like my women, HOT & SPICY. Service...
Read moreWe tried Brooke’s last night for the first time. The atmosphere was great and really had a “locals” feel to it, which was nice. My only regret is not finding this restaurant earlier. Although we arrived at the busiest point of the evening, we were quickly sat without any problem. We started off with a sampler appetizer which included their “SIssy chicken tenders”. I can honestly say, these are by far the best chicken tenders in the area. We then had the queen cut prime rib special. The meals arrived cooked exactly how we ordered, and the aus jus that accompanied it was not salty like most. Although the food and drinks were excellent, the service cannot be overlooked. I wish I remembered the name of our server, however I haven’t received service this good anywhere else here in SWFL. You know you have a good server when she is looking at your glass from across the room and catches your eye asking if you are ready for a refill. The entire experience was more than I expected, and look forward to returning this week. Thank you to the owners/staff for taking pride in what you do! In a time with rapid inflation and excessive costs, it’s great to know you are getting your moneys worth when choosing...
