GO! GO! GO! GO! I've been dying to eat a nashville hot chicken sandwich for the longest time but I just haven't had the chance to visit tennesee yet, problem solved. Just as my yearly cravings came stomping in, I randomly got a instagram reel about a hole in the wall hot chicken resturant coming to Miami. I immediately drove the day after it opened and ordered their Hot chicken sandwhich meal with fries, Jumbo tender, cookies and creme milkshake and a mac & cheese. I'm gonna be entirely honest with you it was amazing the chicken was very juicy, well seasoned, and hella crispy. I was left very satisfied. Since I'm being honest, I want to mention the goods and the bads - here they are:
Thumbs Up: Chicken, Fries, Mac & Cheese amazingly seasoned. Chicken is extermely juicy/flavorful/crispy. Their heat levels are very nice ranging from zero to needing to sign a waiver. Food was prepared quickly and packaged with care. Let me tell you this place does NOT skimp out on the amount of food they give out. Too many times have I been a victim of minature portions costing an arm and a leg. Not this time, The regular chicken sandwhich is PACKED with that juicy chicken. 2 tenders the size of my forearm and thicker than Nicki Minaj in anaconda. It could make a grown man cry at how beautifully portioned they are. Now I will mention this is not cheap by far, sitting at 16.50 for the Sandwich w/ fries this is a heafty price but trust me its huge and can feed up to two in reality.
Thumbs down: Realistically nothing is perfect and the same can be said about Bros Hot Chicken. My complaints lie with the Pricing and size of the Milkshakes, amount of sauce being provided when you purchase extra, and the crinkle cut fries. Let me start with the milkshakes, they currently have the basics - strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate, with the mystery flavor of the month or week I forgot . Solid flavors but what killed me was the small red solo cup amount of milkshake for $5.50. I was very dissapointed, it felt like I took 4 good sips and it was gone, come on if you're going to charge me $5.50 please increase the amount of milkshake. Until then, I'll go to McDonalds for my shakes. Secondly, Like any other resturant you're provided a complementary side of sauce and for 75 cents have the choice to add another. This is the same for Bros Hot Chicken which carries their signature sauce (Which is crazy good) and their signature ranch. When I tell you I was robbed of sauce I'm not exaggerating, I was given a container the size of any regular sushi soy sauce containers from places like sushi sake with about a quarter of that filled with sauce FOR BOTH the complementary and extra. This was enough sauce to dip like 6 fries, which was very upsetting when I buy extra sauce I expect it to at least be 75% or at the top of the container. Lastly the fries, I never expect anything good from fries when I go out to eat and the same can be said about these crinkle cut fries. I needed more crisp and little more crunch to my fry not just a sad crinkle cut fry my cousin got from Winn Dixie and made in the air fryer. I do have to admit they were seasoned extremely well so you might have a better experience than I did.
Hopefully, this post will reach out to those that haven't gone yet and are hesitant to come because its a long drive or you'd rather have something comfortable but trust me this will not dissapoint. Shoutout to the owners for dropping this gem in great area of Miami for the locals to enjoy. P.S. if y'all read this please make an effort to fix the small mistakes as a former food worker I know it can get hectic but trust me you'll keep more customers...
Read moreThe chicken at Chicken Bros is undeniably fresh and delicious. However, I made the bold choice of opting for the "very hot" heat level, and it took me by surprise. While I usually pride myself on being able to handle spicy food, the sheer amount of capsaicin in this dish was intense. If you're a spice enthusiast, you'll probably love it, but for those with a milder palate, I'd recommend trying a lower heat level, like "medium." To cool down from the heat, I ordered a standard vanilla shake. It was a delightful, classic choice that complemented the fiery sandwich perfectly. The service at Chicken Bros was outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they did a great job of ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
One drawback I wish to highlight is that Chicken Bros doesn't open until 1 pm. Waiting until that time for some good chicken can be a bit of a bummer, especially if you're looking for a satisfying lunch earlier in the day. Another issue I encountered was that the restaurant is somewhat challenging to find. None of their signs have yet to be updated, which can make locating Chicken Bros a bit of a scavenger hunt.
In conclusion, Chicken Bros delivers a tantalizing and spicy adventure for those brave enough to tackle their "very hot" heat level. The chicken is top-notch, the vanilla shake is a sweet relief, and the service is excellent. I plan to return, but next time, I'll play it safe with the "medium" heat level. If you're a fan of bold flavors and enjoy a bit of heat, Chicken Bros is worth a visit, just be mindful of their opening hours and keep an eye out for...
Read moreWe picked this place because the pictures looked nice on Instagram. The marketing definitely worked, although when I compared pictures of this place and Daveâs Hot Chicken the differences were clear.
Firstly we ordered maybe 10 minutes or so before we arrived to the restaurant. The online ordering notified us that the order would be ready 30 minutes after our arrival. When we got to the restaurant though, our order was already bagged up and we ended up just eating there.
The vibes inside are nice and colorful, but you canât always judge a book by its cover. Although the music was nice and the art on the walls was beautiful, the food didnât match the decor. The chicken wasnât seasoned. It was fried nicely but had zero flavor. Extremely bland. The batter was ok but the hot oil flavoring was sub par. The toppings were the best thing about the chicken sandwich and that isnât saying a lot.
The coleslaw tasted like they didnât know how to make coleslaw. And the ranch sauce tasted like it came from a bottle. Not homemade. The Bros sauce was alright, it def had mayo ketchup vibes. The French fries were deceiving because in all the pictures they look like crinkle cut but we were served shoestring fries. They were cold.
We also got cookies and cream shakes but I was so disappointed from the food I didnât even enjoy it. There were also guys going from the bathroom back to kitchen while we were eating. Not very professional.
Overall the experience was disappointing. The food wasnât good. And I donât think weâll be back. This is not...
