Buckett's Wings & More — Restaurant in Florida

Tried to find a Packer bar when Parrot Key was closed from the hurricane. Arrived to find 2 seats on the split end of the bar in this establishment....score! But not so much. It was busy, totally understandable. I used to work in service so I'm patient. A guy with a Steelers polo came behind the bar and ignored the new arrivals. Ok it's been about 10 minutes so my husband goes to the other end of the bar to try to get us drinks. In the meantime a bartender finally comes to me and I explain that my husband went to the other end as to not duplicate orders. She was rude, and so was the person that took care of my husband....same person.

Then a young woman came in to apply, completed application in hand. The bartender told her it was a bad time but asked what she wanted to drink. She was polite and ordered a drink and waited patiently.

When she got a chance to speak with the manager (guy in Steelers Polo).....he said "It's Sunday, game day, use your brain!! And don't come apply and have a drink!

We were appalled by the bad service and what the Manager said to this girl, but most people didn't hear. My husband stopped him to clarify the situation and he laughed. He also also laughed when I called him a douche bag.

This guy needs a reality check! She was not asking for an interview but just to turn in her application.

A simple thanks and we'll call you if we're if interested would have done.

Needless to say we didn't order food, I don't care if it's the best in Ft. Myers, we won't be back.

I hope the Steelers polo guy is not the owner. If he is I wish him good luck lol. If he isn't, I hope the owner re-evaluates his position. Maybe a dishwasher 😅 this guy should not be...

Pizza delicious! This was my post 11 months ago! Today 11/19/2020 Well I’m changing my mind 100% the waitress was great yes but when it comes to the food, the pizza is tooooo greasy and Soggy and the quality and tastedeclined over the years! But my parents loved to come here so to make them happy we kept coming! And yesterday for the first of coming to this establishment for 15 to 20 years I am disappointed to the point I wouldn’t return! My family and I go for Birthdays anniversary or when family from out of town come and made it a little tradition to go there! I do understand they have only one pizza oven but it takes for ever to get everything and than the last pizza my dad got no cheese they forgot the cheese, so my dad doesn’t want to really make a big fuzz after waiting for the pizza to get done, he told the waitress just add cheese put it back and let it melt. Done! when they brought it back it looked like they scraped it off first than put the cheese on it and than put the scarped of stuff back on! And served it like that really really poor service! I should have took a picture of it or of my das disappointed face! Thanks to the cook or manager that had so much integrity to just make a new one and served something you wouldn’t even eat! The only good thing you had on your side was your waitress! Very very disappointed! A guess we need to find new place and make that a new tradition and...

So my family and I drive from sanibel or when we are off island always go to Buckets as a family at least once a week. The waitresses are wonderful, the food is normally pretty good HOWEVER if you like crispy wings don’t go. It’s hit or miss if you’re getting fresh dropped crispy wings or rubbery ones. Normally they try to accommodate and depending who is in the kitchen will depend on the outcome but today the owners wife lost my business. My husband drove 15 hours home from a trip to KY and decided Buckets was going to be his first stop for dinner. The family would meet him. While he waited he noticed it was busy and did ask the waitress who was kind and accommodating if they would be able to make the wings well done. She told him no problem. Moments later the owners wife rudely comes up to him and informs him that this one time she will make them well done but it’s never happening again during dinner hour because she’s not tying her fryer up for him. He told her don’t bother. I’m sure if one of the waitresses was rude and caused their business to loose loyal customers they would be upset but I’m assuming she feels as an owner that it’s ok to speak to people like that. We don’t like par baked wings. We don’t like wings that get cooked earlier in the day and sit to be basically flash fried when an order comes in. It’s chewy.
