Chubby's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Florida

Chubby's is under new ownership, but that isn't a problem at all. The former owners were some of the most wonderful people I have ever met, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The hot dogs (especially the legit Chicago Dog) were the best dogs in Central FL. Period. The new owners have made some changes, but they have not made bad ones. The food is still phenomenal, the hot dogs taste exactly like they used to. The menu hasn't changed, however, the rumor is that more will be added, not taken away. I honestly can't wait to see what new items show up! There is now a self checkout kiosk in addition to the person to person method. There are other technological upgrades that have benefited the Chubby's and their customers alike, all good things. They are also now open on Sunday, which really makes me happy. I must admit, I miss the old owners, my daughter and I have known them since she was a new born, and she's grown now. They always recognized us and treated us like family. They were really good people. I really like the new owners and the changes too. Chubby's is still the best Hot Dog place...

Came here with my in-laws and wife. The aroma of polish sausages and French fries fills the air. Having never been to Chicago myself I brought a Chicago native with me. Upon walking in we were welcomed warmly by the owner and his wife with a huge smile and a menu. I didn't need a menu however I came here to have what this place is known for...italian beef and a polish.

While we waited for our food the multiple posters hung around the restaurant of old style food graves out attention. Our arrived warm and well plated, one bite into the polish and I look up at my in-law, he must of felt me looking because we locked eyes at the same time. The silent look said it all "this place is phenominal" washing down our polish with a coke we begin working on our beef sandwich. Within seconds we look up and lock eyes again. So far this place is 2/2

I had to get up and thank the owner, and snap some pictures together. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a polish or beef sandwich. 10/10 Will be back...

I’ve read all of the reviews on Google and the lower Rated ones say the same thing. Clean your restaurant! There’s so much dust in there and you can tell it’s sticking on a thin layer of grease. Right in the area where you cook everything. The hotdogs are very good! But the Gyro is awful. They do the traditional Florida thing and pull meat from a mystery source and throw it on a flat top Grill. The best gyros come off of a spit. The Tsadziki sauce had absolutely no flavor to it whatsoever and it was watery! I will return because I want to try the beef sandwiches which don’t seem to be getting too many good reviews but I still want to try anyway and only if they’ve clean the restaurant by that time. If I walk in and see that quarter inch of dust on the countertop near where they’re cooking all the hotdogs and other items, I’m leaving! If they’re not cleaning the stuff that’s right in front of them, I can only imagine the stuff that I can’t see that’s not...
