This "hotel" is barely holding itself together. The outside is dated, the inside is even worse. When we checked in we didn't arrive until about 1:30am after driving all day; all we wanted to do was get to our room and sleep. The desk clerk was insanely rude and accusatory, demanding to know who I was with while giving me dirty looks, no matter how nice and friendly I tried to be. That man should never be allowed to work in the customer service industry. It was by far the worst experience at check in I have ever had. They also surprised me with a mandatory $75 deposit, plus $3.30 a night for the mandatory refrigerator and microwave rental, as well as an additional $25 a night for a pet fee at check in. When I booked the room online, none of these fees were mentioned.
The "pet friendly" rooms just mean that they ripped out the carpet and replaced it with nasty tile. It doesn't feel like it has ever been moped or cared for. As a hotel that claims to accommodate pets, I assumed there would be lots of available grass for dogs to do their business, but there is none at all. The couch was unusable because it was covered in stains and dirt. The bed was dirty from the start. After peeling back the disgusting top two covers, we found that both sheets had stains and mystery pet hair on them, as well as a dead pill bug. There was a ridiculous shortage of available outlets in the room. One outlet was taken up by the cords for the TV, microwave and fridge, and the other was by the bathroom sink. We pulled back the bed and the couch, looking for any available plugs, but in the end we had to charge everything in the bathroom.
Looking at the door to the room you could see daylight shining through the edges and hear/see every person that walked passed it. The bath tub only drained if you held down the drain handle, and it spat out water that stank of sulfur. The safe's instructions had been rubbed off (which rendered it useless), the closet door was broken, the TV didn't work properly, and I didn't even want to attempt to eat the breakfast they served in the lobby every morning. The fire sprinkler had clearly been set off in the room at some point, leaving moldy water damage on the ceiling right above the bed which really made me loose my appetite.
The only good thing I have to say about the room is that the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I did sleep well when I wasn't being woken up by barking dogs, people getting in their cars and firetrucks/police cars sitting outside our room. Also, the wifi worked well enough, and we were able to use our computer to watch TV at least. All in all, I'd say this is probably one of the worst hotels I have ever had to stay in. If my money wasn't nonrefundable I would have demanded they return everything I gave them and booked anywhere else. This place was an absolute nightmare. If you have children or pets that you care about, please spend a little more money to go somewhere nice and safe. This place is...

1-Star Review – Days Inn Orlando “Shady Front Desk Experience – Room Was Fine, Staff Was the Real Problem”
The room was clean, matched the photos, and had plenty of space. That’s where the positives end. The front desk experience—especially with John—was a nightmare and completely unacceptable.
I paid nearly $500 out of pocket to help a homeless friend and her children get to Orlando from Tifton, GA. I called ahead the evening of April 9 and spoke to a woman named Kathy. I explained they were arriving by Greyhound after midnight (around 12:35 AM on April 10), and she assured me there would be someone at the desk 24/7. She told me I needed my ID, a card for the $75 deposit, and a $1.75 tourist fee. No mention whatsoever of any issue with the date or needing to book for April 9.
When I asked for her name, she hesitated and asked why I wanted it—which was sketchy and unprofessional. I told her I just like to know who I’m speaking to.
Fast forward to 12:35 AM on April 10: I arrive, ring the bell, and John comes to the window. From the jump, his tone was cold and unhelpful. He told me I needed to have booked for April 9, even though it was already April 10. He said the system wouldn’t recognize the new date until he did his audit at 6 AM. That makes no sense, and it was never mentioned before.
I showed him the live online price of $63, but he quoted me $97 and said he “couldn’t change it.” When I pushed back, he got annoyed and told me to just book online. I tried Expedia—it wouldn’t let me book for the past (obviously). So I booked through the official Days Inn mobile site for April 10 at the price I originally saw.
He still made me sign a form approving a $5 “price difference” because I hadn’t booked “yesterday.” That’s insane. I was standing there on April 10, booking for April 10, because that’s what it was. The system doesn’t even allow backdated reservations.
On top of all this, when I thanked him politely, he said nothing. Just slid the paper with my friend’s name across the counter and turned his back. That moment—his complete lack of respect—is what pushed me to write this review. He made a stressful night worse with his smug, careless attitude and zero empathy.
My friend and her kids stayed 8 hours—arrived at 1:40 AM, left before 10 AM. I only chose this hotel because it’s close to my house and it was too late to figure out something else. I have six kids, including a 5-month-old, and got no sleep that night. I was trying to help someone in crisis—not looking for special treatment. Just decent, professional service.
I’ll never be back. The rooms may be fine, but the people running the front desk—especially John—make this place not worth your time, energy, or money.

Read moreWe first became aware of Days Inn by Wyndham N Orlando/Casselberry in the wee hours of the morning of Sunday, January 26th. We had just a few hours to sleep (i.e. 1 a.m. till 4 a.m.) before catching an early morning flight at the Sanford airport.||Google maps listed the price at $64 but when we asked if there were rooms available, we were quoted $178 - !||We decided that was way more than what we wanted to spend for 3 hours’ sleep, so we pressed on. Unfortunately, everything between this hotel and the airport was booked so we finally decided to backtrack and take a room.||As we were checking in, a drunken woman staggered by, causing fear in my wife.||When we finally got checked in, we only got 1 entry key (there were 3 adults and 1 child in our entourage).||On heading to our room, we again discovered the drunken woman, this time sitting on stairs near our room.||Our room was filthy & surprisingly empty for a Days Inn - just beds, a desk, a dresser and a lot of empty space - ?!||The bathroom was mouldy and the whole thing seemed like an overpriced, filthy ripoff.||We needed web access to check in for our flights, but neither our computer or iPhones could properly connect to the hotel’s web server. (Finally, at 4 a.m., I was able to get online long enough to log us in!)||Upon crawling into bed, turns out the nightmare wasn’t over. Within the 3 hours we were hoping to sleep, the Sheriff made an arrest next door, waking at least 2 of us.||Upon getting up at 4 a.m. and quickly packing up, the drunken woman was still on the stairs as we went by.||Due to how broken up our sleep had been and how dirty the room was, we asked for a price break from the front desk clerk, but he refused.||I asked the name of the manager, and he paused momentarily and said, “John”.||Needless to say, we won’t be back again, and we’ll warn everyone we can to not stay in this hotel either. It is definitely not family friendly. We're very surprised that it carries the 'Days Inn by Wyndham' name. We had expected more from this 'brand'.||In hindsight, we would have been better off just finding a quiet parking spot somewhere and sleeping in our rental vehicle.||The only positive thing about this experience was that the front desk clerk maintained his cool and didn’t get argumentative in the midst of our frustration and, somewhere along the way (without telling us - !?!), let us have the room for $95 + tax, instead of the $178 he’d quoted us. (We only found out when we looked at the bill after leaving). This was still way above the online price we found, and way too much for the awful...
