Absolutely awful, don’t waste your time. Everyone I know it always raving about Church’s and since there isn’t one close to Lake Nona, my family and I decided to place an order for delivery so we could give it a try. Our order came up to over $80 with tip and delivery fee due to the distance which we felt wasn’t awful since this location is pretty far from us. Upon delivery, we immediately noticed we were given the wrong side. We asked for the spicy rice and were given mac and cheese instead but we figured it was an honest mistake and dealt with it. As we were attempting to eat the biscuits, one of my children pointed out that it was raw on the inside. I figured they were being dramatic but when I checked, it was absolutely completely raw. We examined the remaining biscuits, which were also raw and had to be throw away. The chicken itself was lacking flavor. We opted for the mixed chicken combo, and were given a 10 piece box that included only dark meat and some legs. No wings or chicken breasts, which are the only parts my kids eat. The way it's set up is once you get to a certain point, you're stuck. Even if I am partially to blame for the drive thru wait time fiasco, the food issues are completely on Church's. The food was absolutely disgusting, not even being hyperbolic when I say the worst fried chicken/chicken sandwich I have ever had. The skin had no flavor at all, and neither did the actual chicken. The fries were too cold, and the mac and cheese was too hot. The only part of the meal that was decent was the biscuits. This location needs a ton of work, and I would avoid it until they get competent ownership. I just had one of the BEST experiences at Church’s Chicken thanks to Wasim. From the second we walked in, he made sure everything was handled with care, respect, and professionalism. He was polite, warm, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our order was perfect from start to finish.
He checked in on us, made sure everything tasted great, and treated us like VIPs. You could tell he takes pride in his job—and it shows. It’s rare these days to find someone who makes fast food feel like fine service, but Wasim pulled it off effortlessly.
Give that man his flowers 💐 and maybe a raise too 👏. Church’s is lucky to have him and the great staff as well !
