2nd time, here. The first time, I got a door 3 hours after my appointment time. I got here an hour early, and they have an area with empty trailers. They allowed me to park here until they had a door. The second time I came in was 45 min early for a 0600. Appointment and they told me to come back at 0600. I told the guard there is no where ro park at 0515 in the morning on a Tuesday after a holiday in Orlando. He showed me an address on the window of a truck stop address someone wrote in marker. I asked if i could park in the trailer lot like I did just 2 mo ths ago. He said no, you're not allowed on property. I went to the truckstop, of course, and it was packed. So, with all the construction and holiday traffic, I ended up by Universal Studios Orlando. Very tight area for trucks, but they wouldn't let me sit in their lot for 15 min. Even though there were no trucks around and it was not busy. I guess with Coke, it's about the money, no concern for a person's well-being. Finally got back at 0600. One guard says to pull up to check the seal, and the other guard comes in behind him and says, Just wait, we are going to have you pull up by the curb until we have a door for you." The other guard said," Are you going to pull up? " I told him what the other guard was, and he just kept repeating that he needed to check my seal. Professional and obviously, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Opened doors, asked if I needed to slide tandems back, guard said I think so. Backed up to the door, I started to unload me quickly. Good room to back up, a lot of space to back up and maneuver. Stay out of the way of the Coke drivers they speed around and don't care it tou have the right away. This is their turf, so it gives them an excuse to drive unsafe. Other than the power trip guards and the unsafe red Coke day cabbers, it is not a bad stop. Just bring patience, and don't show up more than 30 min early they will...
Read moreThe outbound guard told me to make a right out of there then a Uturn to come back to the first entrance. I made my way back and as noted in my load, there’s no safe way to make a left hand turn in.
I ended up going back down to make a left on OBT, left onto Americana, left onto John Young, left onto Sand Lake, left back onto OBT and then left back onto Oak Ridge. This detour took me about 25 minutes after initially arriving at the wrong entrance 15 minutes before my appointment. Fortunately upon my arrival at the correct entrance, the guard told me I was okay because there’s a 30 minute grace period.
If you happen to make the same mistake I did and also aren’t comfortable making random maneuvers between U-turns and hopping medians — take Oakridge to John Young, make a right onto John Young, right onto Americana, right onto OBT/441 and right back onto Oak Ridge.
3 stars because Coke should put an INBOUND TRUCKS ENTRANCE sign up as I was told this is a regular occurrence. All guards were friendly, I was assigned a door immediately and plenty of space to maneuver...
Read moreThe route to this place is little tricky, if your coming from hwy4 then don’t take Texas Ava to this place, school and tight turn will be difficult. The Receiving is on East side of the building and their is no pocket from the main road to get into, you have to cut from the parking lot in front of the building if you come from west side to the property. Be ready to jump curbs.
This place gets busy and very stricked with appointments time. Check in only 30 min before your time and your FKD if your 5 min late. The security people attitude is hit or miss. One is nice and another has a power trip, talking to drivers like she is you know what. Unloading is couple hours. Good luck to you...
