5 Stars only because I love CB..I go and get barreled atleast once a week since a child, love this place I go nomatter what city or state I’m in and I can’t name a single bad memory until yesterday. Went with my father and brother and the environment was fantastic at first smiles all around, then we met our waitress Jessica, immediately with an awful attitude, we ignored and ordered drinks. 10 minutes later we finally get our 2 WATERS (there’s 3 tables that she is helping at most), doesn’t say a word just dropped the cups and walked away with an eye roll, comes back finally another 5-10 mins later takes our order while having that same nasty attitude over her inability to take and read back an order. Dad orders the dinner portion meat loaf and they bring a lunch, no big deal we brought it up and she just simply said, “no it’s just small like that you should see the actual lunch portion” what😂???? walks away and we see and hear her over at another nearby table telling 5 gentlemen were over here complaining about portion sizes making her life harder this and that, when she came over I mentioned that I sat and watched/listened to everything she just said at the table over and she goes “oh you’re fine” I go “what?” and again “you’re good” and walks away, she comes out with another meatloaf to compensate for the minuscule amount given originally which was nice of her however she just dropped the plate infront of my father and again rolled her eyes and simply walked away. We get our check and we didn’t hear another word from her, paid the bill the manager at the register got a small glimpse of this story and took the appetizer off the bill, very sweet people at the registers and host stand, however if you deal with a heavier-set lady named Jessica beware you’re...
Read moreFood was inedible! I ordered the 1/2 pound hamburger steak, medium rare. It is supposed to come with garlic butter. For my sides I ordered broccoli and a baked sweet potato with butter, brown sugar and Cinnamon. I got the cornbread and I asked for lots of butter and honey. This was a to go order as I had just picked up my RV and was headed to a RV park for the night. I figured I would warm it up when I got to the park.
A series of unfortunate incidents led me to not arrive at the park till 2am. I was STARVING AND LOOKING FORWARD TO A GOOD MEAL. YUCK!, DISGUSTING!, OVERCOOKED AND TASTELESS. I did not receive a 1/2 hamburger steak with garlic butter! I got a thin, overcooked, smashed mystery meat patty with no seasoning whatsoever! It was dried out, grey, had been pressed so hard it was FLAT. It smelled like dog food! There was no salt, pepper, garlic or any seasoning whatsoever. The sweet potato was stringy, very little butter and nothing else. Yet I was charged for a loaded sweet potato. The broccoli was hard, no butter. Cornbread muffins were stale. I got 2 packets of honey, no butter at all. I asked for lots of butter and honey. There were no plates or silverware in the bag. A 1/2 lb patty should have fed myself and my 2 dogs. (5.5lbs and 7lbs. Their stomach is about the size of 1/2 of a Halo mandarin orange. They ate the whole patty between themselves and were still hungry. I think Cracker Barrel should refund me the price of the meal and tip I gave the waitress. I am getting ready to become a full-time RV'er. I will avoid Cracker Barrel in the future if this is the service and product I am...
Read moreFirst off we always stop at the Cracker Barrels to eat when we travel. We have stopped at this location twice now on our travels up North. Superb service, order cooked perfect for hubby and I. I have nothing negative to share. Our waitress whose name was Amy (spelling may be wrong) ….was on it with service and compassion. My husband always orders Momma’s Pancake breakfast so I can eat one pancake of his and I order The Old Timers. My momma used to make the best pancakes in the world. When I was a little girl I would wake up sometimes in the middle of the night and she would make me pancakes from a cast iron skillet. You know the kind, moist and soft inside with crispy edges. The kind that are simply amazing. Well Cracker Barrel makes them almost exactly like she did. My momma died in 2017. I miss her every day of my life. While we were eating there i suddenly realized these pancakes were exactly like my moms, it could have been hers and I was suddenly back in time sharing a pancake with my mom. I started to cry. Crying and eating pancakes brought over my waitress. We shared a moment in time of comfort and compassion. Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat but it’s the quality of staff that truly make a restaurant inviting and prosperous. The entire staff was wonderful but I’ll never forget Amy. Bless you Amy and your beautiful soul. You took the time to comfort a stranger who was just passing by. I’ll never forget you. We will make sure to stop by here on our travels again! I bought a large pink Christmas Light up Bulb while there in remembrance of your waitress Amy and my mom. Keep the light...
