Read moreI’ve eaten here for a very long time, nearly 20 years. The breakfast here is probably the best in town. As of June 11, 2025, whoever they have in the back cooking needs a raise. I’ve had all their breakfast and it’s been phenomenal.
My only bad experience is when I did an online order for vehicle pickup. Pick up was for 7:45AM, I was there at 8:00AM, as I backed my truck up an older lady was dropping food off for another customer in Spot 1 and I was parked in Spot 3. I was like, ok, she sees me and I already filled out the information for my make, model, color of my vehicle and I should have my food in a few minutes. 20 minutes later I had to call to tell them I was there. Got home and food was ice cold and pancakes were soggy and water down from all the condensation. I think it was the manager that had to drop off my food and he apologized, because they were short staffed. I wasn’t upset or anything, I was just sad my food was going to be cold and soggy. The microwave can’t fix everything unfortunately.
I figured old people and technology don’t mix and this place is for old people. No offense, but it’s a fact. Regardless, I had empathy for the situation because my parents are the same exact way. They’re extremely traditional. I figure next time around I’d be more traditional and eat inside.
So far I’ve eaten inside a few times for breakfast and all their food has been incredible. The Homestyle Fried Chicken with gravy is amazing. The scrambled eggs are from a carton. When you’ve eaten liquid carton eggs for a decade in the U.S. Military, you know the taste and texture. I would recommend getting something over easy if you want authentic eggs. The grits are exceptionally good as well. Not runny or too thick. Their Eggs Benedict on a country biscuit is good. Their hollandaise sauce is very good. It’s not too buttery tasting and is balanced. The eggs are not cooked poached but over easy. If they had some smoked salmon, probably be the best Florida Eggs Benedict in the state.
If you’re looking for fast, don’t expect good food. Food is going to take time to make and the food reflects the quality here. Regardless if it’s pre-prepared, pre-packaged, or whatever, the food is excellent here. I like the $6 food you get to take home option. The meatloaf and mac-n-cheese is pretty good for what it is.
I haven’t had the lunch or dinner, but I assume since their Fried Chicken with Gravy was so damn good, their lunch/dinner has to be the same.
I’ve been to quite a few locations and this is the best one so far. I’m grateful it’s not too far away from the house and for the people that work here. Thank you to everyone who works at this location and providing me a...
