The food is fantastic. It really is. Our first three experiences eating there were quite pleasant. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Our last experience changed our viewpoint on the restaurant completely. We ordered as usual. Our main courses arrived in three rounds, which is not ideal with small children. However, when the waitress is distracted by friends/regulars/boyfriend/kids, it happens. Understanding this, we chalked it up to an off night. THEN, the bill came. We provided our card, and it was charged. As my husband was signing it, the waitress ran over, and said the cashier, "made a mistake," and rang it up wrong. She brought another bill, with each item priced approximately $2 HIGHER than on the menu. I asked the waitress about this, who stated, "You dined in, it costs more." This was CONTRARY TO THE PRINTED MENU prices. I remembered specifically asking my husband about the cost of my meal, as I wanted the larger size for leftovers. I picked up a menu, and the waitress informed me that is was wrong as it was a takeout menu. The manager then came over, and said we "would pay more next time," to make up for them being unwilling to charge us twice for the "mistake." This was not an issue the previous visits, nor is there anything posted about higher cost to eat-in. To me, it makes little sense, as a person eating in will usually buy beverages, sometimes avoid takeout/non-reusable containers, and tip waitstaff. In MY opinion, this seems to have begun in correlation with the arrival of the snowbirds. Snowbirds=more business, and how many people pay a bill without checking to see if the cost matches the menu. I cannot trust a business that arbitrarily changes their prices, and will probably NOT dine in again. We will go over the bill with a fine tooth comb IF we...
Read moreMy friends and I recently visited Golden China for a delightful evening out, and I must say, it was an absolute pleasure! As a group of six, we were greeted with warm hospitality and treated to an outstanding dining experience.
The food at Golden China was simply exceptional. I ordered the cashew chicken, and it was prepared to perfection. The flavors were balanced, the chicken was tender, and the cashews added a delightful crunch. Each bite was a true delight, leaving me wanting more.

Read moreSo in order for me to write this review I had to leave at least one star, but they don't even deserve that. As for my service I'm going to say it was poor across the board. I think it is so rude for 2 people to sit down at a table together, order at the same time, & only one persons dish comes out leaving the other person sitting there waiting to eat while they watch their partner eat. Might I add that I timed how long it took them to bring the other dish to the table. Furthermore the server stated that since one of the dishes that was ordered was going to take 20 minutes to cook they would make sure that both dishes would be served at the same time. Yes, I got up from the table & excused myself to the car. So they was asked to take the other dish off the ticket, that I never even seen mind you, because by the time it came out I had already left out of the establishment. The Server did NOT want to do that!! It is downright inconsiderate to be hungry & have to watch someone else eat at your table, because just like me they want to eat their plate while it is still hot. So if you're travelling or live locally I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Also my partners Fried Rice was burnt & tasted like their Wok hadn't been washed in ages!!!! Your welcome Golden China, maybe you all can learn proper Table Service so you won't receive anymore reviews...
