Our little town has been seriously lacking for a sushi restaurant for a very long time. At Fin Sushi, they offer Sushi, sashimi and Japanese food. They have hibachi in the kitchen, with a variety of choices- chicken, beef, shrimp, steak, lobster, scallops, and I'm sure a few I am forgetting. Their prices start about $6. Lower than other places offering the same thing. The portions are generous. The servers and sushi chefs are helpful and friendly. The sushi is fresh and delicious. It is all hand made, to order, at the sushi bar. The sushi prices however, blew me away. The salmon roll and yellowtail rolls, for example, start around the $4.50-$5 mark. The prices do go up depending on what you order, as prices tend to do. But as someone who will travel for good sushi, I can tell you that these prices are very good. They have a wide variety of $5-$8 choices such as the California roll, the Philly roll, Mexican or volcano roll. Normally I would expect those to be $8-$12. Even the local grocery store with the better sushi charges more for something that's been sitting in the deli case. Our dinner tonight was 2 fountain drinks, 9 sushi rolls, fried rice, and calamari for around $60 bucks. Deals! Plus they offer complementary tastes, such as the 4 piece crab roll which as a cream cheese and crab roll tempora battered, and a 4 piece mochi red bean ice cream with sliced strawberries. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I went here in celebration of our 18th anniversary. We have been here many times and enjoy it enough to go back. This visit was no good. I got the Sushimi Deluxe which is amazing. My wife got what she always gets and that is the Pink Lady and Happy Krab. First, the Happy Krab was good but was falling apart. Nothing like it has been the last several times we have had it. The Pink lady was horrible. No taste, and was mushy almost soggy. My wife had a piece and asked me to try one. Tasteless, mushy. We thought maybe the sauce would help but it did not. The wait person lacked personality and care. We let them know we were not happy with the Pink Lady and they just looked at us like we had not said a word. Other than a look of non understanding they did say sorry about that. Ok. The $55 ticket was brought back and no refund, no sorry your anniversary date was dissapointing, no deduction. So no tip. I guess that covers half of the 16.00 we tried eating. With the bad service and the mushy Pink Lady and deconstructed Happy Krab it was a dissapointing lunch. Will we go back? I'm sure we will. One bad visit out of many visits isnt so bad.

Pretty good spot. If I lived closer, I'm sure I'd visit more often. We ordered pretty basic fare, something they called Happy Krab (deep fried imitation crab) and chicken fried rice. Both of these dishes were satisfying, but not amazing. The chicken fried rice in particular is presented totally unlike anywhere else, with a generous portion of chicken breast sliced and topped with teriyaki sauce over the rice. It was good, but not what I was expecting. The rice itself was also good, but lacking in flavor and ingredients. There's no vegetables present at all, which I would usually praise, but there's nothing to elevate this rice. It's just kind of there. It's cooked well, though, so that's a big plus. Most restaurants somehow screw that part up. The atmosphere is almost incredible, though. The lighting is modern, but peaceful, the booths are large and comfortable. This place has a great vibe going on that's unfortunately undercut by the loud pop music you'd expect at most restaurants. I haven't been to a perfect restaurant yet, but I think this one could get high up there with some very minor adjustments. Definitely worth a visit.

I use to love this place, but it has really gone downhill and after this most recent experience, I will definitely not be returning. Sushi is decent at best, and the service is just bad. If you must go, do not get the salmon. Every time I’ve ordered it, it has been literally inedible because it tasted spoiled. The manager will not comp meals, even if they screw it up completely and this happens a lot, like literally every other time I’ve been in the past few months. She will offer you a gift card for half the price of your meal, even if it’s only 15 bucks. If you’re willing to lose a “valued patron” of over 3 years over $7.50 when you completely screw up an order and make the customer drive back to pick up a new corrected order in the pouring rain, then you should not be in the hospitality business. That’s not hospitality, that’s greedy incompetence. You can order the same roll 3 times here, and it will be different every single time, no consistency anymore. Dining in isn’t any better either, servers are very rude, probably because the manager is very rude with them(we’ve witnessed it). The last dining-in experience my girlfriend and I had was terrible. We were seated at a table that was right in the middle of the walk way, so we had servers constantly bumping into us, and to make things worse, there was a bright light directly above us, so it was like having a spotlight over us while all of the other tables around us were dimly lit. We politely asked if we could move to an available booth that was open after explaining our issue with the current table, and the server said “uhhhm, I gueesssssss sooo, let me check”. She came back and said that we could “if we really wanted to”. So we got up and started walking over there with our drinks, then the hostess yelled across the restaurant as we were sitting down and said “wait, actually, no”. Apparently another couple had come in while we were walking over and she wanted to sit them there after already approving us moving there 30 seconds prior. I know a stoned hostess when I see one… I have over 5 years of experience working in restaurants so I know how stressful it can be and I like to cut people breaks when they don’t get everything right, but this place truly deserves a bad review. If you want good food and great service, save yourself the headache and awkward “miscommunications” and go to Thai sushi chef on 41 instead. MUCH better sushi, better hibachi, and infinitely better service + better prices and solid consistency. I don’t have enough good things to say about the staff at Thai sushi chef, always courteous, always polite, and when they make a mistake, they don’t make you, the customer, pay for it. I won’t be wasting anymore time or money at fin. I want to reiterate, this place used to be really good (which is why the reviews are deceiving) and there was a time when I ate here at least once a week. But these days, I almost always leave disappointed. Just go to Thai sushi chef, trust me, they deserve your money a lot more than...

Loved this place until they fell short on their customer service and quality. I ate here 4 times and the service was better but it was never great. I kept coming back because the food was excellent.

Then, I finally convinced 2 friends of mine to eat here who were leery of sushi but agreed since I claimed the food was excellent. They got there 20 min. before me and weren't even acknowledged to be seated. There were a line of people waiting to be seated and it was very unorganized. No one knew who was getting seated first and the manager and staff who were up front weren't helping anyone to let them know what was going on. Finally, I went up to the front counter to question the seating status and we were then seated. If I hadn't convinced my friends to eat there, I would have left. One friend ordered chicken and it was extremely dry and my other friend had hair in her food. When we mentioned the hair to the waitress, she insisted it was from the chicken leg hairs and wouldn't accept anything less or offer to remake. So most of my friend's food wasn't eaten and was forced to pay for it. Also, the bussers kept coming to take plates away right from under us while we were still eating other items ordered without saying excuse me or are you done? I had to ask one of the guys to stop as he was about to take my bowl of rice. It was obvious they were trying to rush us out.

Came back again a month later by myself to try again and had the same seating experience but it wasn't busy. I waited 8 minutes while 3 waiters, the manager, and 1 bar tender looked directly at me but didnt acknowledge me to be seated so I left. Yes, the food "WAS" decent for the area as there is limited competition when it comes to Japanese and sushi but not worth the rude service. There are plenty of other restaurants that have excellent service and food in the area. I...

Wish I could write my whole experience on here two experiences back to back dining in, will never eat here again waiting 2hrs for food missing order multiple lies being told by the server and training sever when we were allowed to even order our food, which I’ve never heard from a server in my life including me being one over 4yrs, then repeating our order, forgetting a whole entree after the refire of our cold food brought out, I had to get up let the manager which has always taken care of me know, and was reassured we’d be taken care of, was issued a $20 gift card for my experience after understanding the bill was taken care of now adding to it with me gifting that card to my mother and them taking it from her as she went to use it on her lunch and the owner stating to my mother her son had walked out on my bill. You guys need to do better that’s absolutely unacceptable business. I praised this place up until then with multiple posts on social media and sending you even more business with my recommendations you’ve lost a valued customer over your poor practice of not only timely service but now causing 4 people to share a poor experience. I get the customers not always right but in this case this was on poor execution of service all together as well as professionalism. Had I known that was all that was willing to be done for us clearly I’d have told you to keep that gift card and let you know then and there I was not accepting that as a solution. Keep your gift card, I won’t be returning to your establishment. The owner is a sweet lady and she means well but that was just a final staw for me what my mother was put through on top being so embarrassed by management. Should be embarrassed...
