VISITOR BEWARE! VISITOR BEWARE!
Terrible! Terrible! This was a return trip to give this location another chance. We ordered 2 small cups of "custard" and never got our order. We walked in and it was around 8 pm.. Not a busy time on a Wednesday night. We had a great dinner elsewhere and made a couple of stops prior to stopping by. The location was dirty, the staff was playing around, and they were more worried about each other than the customers. Diego was working the cash register and was more worried about making the cook give him respect than he was about taking our order. When the order was placed I looked to the 'custard" prep area and there were several people playing and chasing a blonde haired employee. They were not doing anything to take care of orders. We went and sat down to wait for a small "custard" order. We passed the fountain drink and condiment areas it smelled of old ketchup and there were flies all over. I am thankful we did not order any food that would require ketchup or anything in those station areas. If you do not like FLIES? Then you do not want to go to this Culver's.
We went and sat down and we began talking.. Time passed and we noticed that people began to walk in and place orders. It looked like we beat the "POST CHURCH" rush but we still did not have our order.
I went to the counter to check on the order and I was told it would be a few minutes. I asked how long should I wait for 2 small deserts? The staff looked at each other and they said the same thing that it would be a few minutes.
I asked for a refund and that took some time for Bruce the "MANAGER" to come out and provide it.
While I waited for the refund there were people who came into the Culver's, placed their order, and began getting full dinners.
This was a return visit after a prior bad experience. We complained after that visit. We rejected "Free" before. We were told by Joel to come back and he "Will make it right." We did a surprise visit and we did not say anything about the prior visit. We did not complain to get something for free, we never got our order, and we wont be returning. Too dirty, too expensive, too immature, and too TERRIBLE to return too.
If you choose to visit this location? I hope you have a better experience...
Read moreBeen to several of the Culver's in the area over the last few years. It's about time to review one. Service is very friendly & quick. And I really like that, despite it being fast food, you don't have to stand around and wait for your food like a bovine, they bring it to your table like a real restaurant. The bathrooms are well decorated, a nice touch most places don't even seem to consider. Fairly clean, too. The background music, another nice touch, is loud enough to hear but not enough to intrude, a great balance often missed. The mix of classic rock, pip & country is inoffensive but familiar. The layout is relaxing, mostly carpeted with lots of space between table, most of which are not permanently bolted to the floor unlike more 'institutional' places you know the names of. And the tables & chairs are clean, also unlike those other places. Plenty of space to get wheelchair/walker/crutches through. A complaint though. Who, or better yet why, would anyone put cheese on a fish sandwich? Mickey D's does but even kids know that's messed up and won't order it. I know Wisconsin is the Cheese state but I'd rather have cheese on my fries. Never put cheese on fish! It's gross, tastes really, really weird. My favorite reason for coming here though is the frozen custard. That stuff is tremendous! It makes premium ice cream look like the 9th runner-up in the dessert race. And regular ice cream didn't even make it to the starting line. Personal favorite is chocolate with raspberries. Simple & de-freaking-licious. Go just for that. Smooth with a capital smoo! The texture is almost beyond description. Velvet? Try...
Read moreUsually, Culver’s is pretty good. They might have some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. That said, my experience at this specific Culver’s wasn’t the best, which is why I took off a star. I’m sure they’re great most of the time,
I’m pretty sure the guy who took our order was on his first day. Or something. Homeboy had no clue what was going on. I’m not against letting new people jump in, however, there should have been someone there with him to help, because wow, it was a disaster. Almost every piece of our meal had something incorrect about it - two of our custards didn’t have their flavors entered correctly, the kids meal had half the things missing or incorrect, burgers should have been put in as “plain” but didn’t... it was just a mess. Thankfully, they made it right with us after we talked to someone, if I could give one suggestion, it’s this: on the register, there was a little screen that showed the order as the employee enters it. However, there were lots of abbreviations and it was confusing to follow. If the display had been more comprehensive, we would have seen the incorrect inputs and been able to correct them before we paid.
Like I said, I have no doubts that this place does well most of the time. I wish I could go back to this location to give it a second chance. The staff is very nice and one lady even came by and chatted with us for a while since there weren’t many other people in the restaurant. It was...
