This is my second review for this location. Expensive, but decent products, IF you can get them. My wife and I have been fans of La-Z-Boy Furniture for a long time and have spent more than $20,000 over the last five years. The last order was a custom sectional which cost around $5,000. It was ordered on April 29, 2021 and promised for delivery by Christmas 2021. The staff mentioned that like everyone else during Covid they are experiencing supply chain issues so the order may be delayed. A short delay is understandable, but our sectional was delivered 15 months later! We kept calling, we heard lots of promises, lots of excuses and some half-truths. We could never get a straight answer nor be able to track shipping of our order. The staff is friendly, but their technological skills are from the Stone Age. Its sad but also comical. When you ask a question about an item or a delivery update, they first take notes on a piece of paper. Then they go to “the computer” a futuristic object that seems to have come from a science fiction movie. They inevitably have to log-in, then apologize for a poor connection, forgotten password or some other mumbo-jumbo all of which takes 15 minutes. When the object from the future finally displays readiness, the sales people start copying long item codes from the paper using one finger on each hand and wait for some kind of response. Where is the option for Zero Stars? I was happy with what I thought was the purchase of a VERY expensive and quality set of furniture. Zero customer service. Zero updates on seriously delayed order. When I called to find out an update I was told “we’re short staffed right now, we are short 3 people” to which I asked “are sales people processing 100’s of orders every month making them unable to keep status of their own orders? Listen, I’m in sales, that kind of nonsense doesn’t fly. Why would you take my order, throw it against a wall and hope it happens? Zero follow up? Nothing? So you’re paid commission to enter my order and that’s it?
There is no guarantee of when my furniture “may arrive” and when asked when I would get another update since I wasn’t told it would be months late, the sales person told me to set a reminder for myself when it would possibly be ready at the end of May and to call back. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a retailer. Shocking actually. She was nice but this seems like a company issue. And now I’m reading they are an independent retailer and not associated with the actual La-Z-Boy????

Read moreAfter having a couple of not so good experiences in the Sarasota store, we chose to check out the one in Bradenton. Thankful that we did. The customer service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Instead of being told it was impossible to know what was in stock, the saleswoman went to her computer and did some magic. She came back with two loveseats that were available in stock and then showed them to us and the colors they came in. Since there are major delays on furniture, this helped narrow down what we could anticipate receiving without a long wait. She even offered to look up what was on order if we didn’t like what was currently in the warehouse. One of the two in stock was a great option for us. While not the same as our sofa, the color looks the same and we ended up liking it even more. We ordered on a Wednesday and it was delivered today (Tuesday). I did not expect anything to be that fast, just hoped for some sort of expectations to be set. The delivery went smoothly and they were very professional.
