If I could have given this less than one star I would have. How the average rating here is 4.8 is astounding to me. First, a telltale sign that should have made me pause is that on a Saturday at peak lunch time of 1:30 pm there were no patrons and just beleaguered employees sitting at a table with sullen looks. Our host/waiter just felt it was such an imposition to serve us. Mind you, as the only two patrons in the place, you’d think he would have been more than attentive. He was curt and und unfriendly and didn’t want to be bothered. We weren’t offered water. We had to ask for utensils. We had to ask for cups with ice for our drinks. One of the salsa bottles wasn’t pouring out and we tried to fix it but when we told our waiter it felt like such an imposition on his part. Then, the food. Really bad and gross. The chicharrón in salsa verde tacos wasn’t crisp at all, just a soggy slimy fat that should be avoided at all costs. I was so turned off and disgusted that I left mostly everything intact. The waiter didn’t even ask what was wrong with the mostly untouched food. He was clueless and even asked if we wanted dessert. There are plenty of great Mexican restaurants in Miami. But this sure isn’t one of them. What a shame that it’s in the former Chef Adrienne spot. It doesn’t...
Read moreThe only way this place has a 4.8 rating is most likely because the reviews are fake or from friends/family. I agree with a previous review that stated my first red flag of this place being horrible should have been that there were absolutely no customers there on a Friday night at 9pm. Really, NO CUSTOMERS.
Super overpriced, the molcajete Mar Y Tierra was served with 3 tortillas (so they think you will have a whole molcajete with only 3 tortillas? Mind you, tortillas are store bought. NOT homemade) no rice, no beans. After we asked our waitress for rice and beans (since it stated it included these in the menu) she brought over a side of stale beans and stale rice. When I told her these were old and stale, a guy came to us and said they had put pork with sour orange in the beans and that’s why they tasted stale. What?! We decided not to eat the rice and beans since we would be running the chance of getting sick. Dear Restaurant Owner, FOOD POISONING IS REAL. Definitely never, ever coming back. I would have rathered they just told me they ran out of rice and beans than offer me stale food.
Also, they currently advertise margaritas but they don’t offer alcohol since they do not yet have a liquor license. Fake advertising to the fullest.

Read moreI am not a person that gives a five so easily but this place deserves it. The food is great. We have been here twice and cleaned our plates.
The first time we had the nachos, guacamole, queso fundido and esquite for appetizers and the molcajete special for lunch. The flavors were all there. It was hitting all the perfect flavor points.
The second time we had the birria nachos, mix of different tacos and the enchiladas. Once again the impressed. They also brought me to try some of their soup and I instantly regretted not ordering it before. It was so good. I believe it’s now one of my top items.
