I think we’ve all seen Keik Bakeshop on social media by now. It seems like exactly the kind of place Miami has needed, Kendall especially. While yes it’s cute, it’s also not entirely what it is hyped up to be. It is a very pretty and pink atmosphere, but I think the exposed ceiling ducts and pipes, as well as the very artificial looking flowers, greatly take away from its potential.
This weekend was my second time here, and it was for a birthday celebration. The birthday girl walked in with a birthday cake, which we were told was not allowed. While I know we should have called to ask beforehand, I definitely think an exception could have been made - we would have gladly paid a fee for having the cake, which is common practice in the restaurant world.
I’ll start with the food. The portions are pretty big, with many of the plates being shareable. The food is good. I think that the prices are way higher than they should be for the value, though. You can tell a lot of it pre packaged and pre frozen, like the hash browns. The ham used inside many of the dishes (such as the omelette) is the kind of ham slices you’d use in a deli sandwich. The premium prices you’re paying when dining here are for the atmosphere, which I mentioned falls a bit flat.
The drinks are okay. They use wine-based liquors for their drinks, which is fine, but you’re still paying what you’d pay for a hard liquor based drink. The coffee is admittedly delicious and silky-smooth. I’d come back just for the lattes.
The service… this may be the biggest downfall. Both times I’ve been here, there has seemed to be an abundance of servers on the floor, but the service is still very slow. Both times our servers have been dry and unfriendly. On my most recent visit, our server was straight up rude and snappy. One of our friends ordered a burger and asked if it could be cut for her - the server simply responded with a snappy “no,” with no other solution offered. She could have explained why the kitchen couldn’t do that for her or at the very least offered to bring a knife. I sadly had to send back my latte which arrived barely lukewarm. She seemed bothered to have to replace my drink for me.
If it weren’t for the delicious coffee and never-ending dessert menu, I don’t think I’d be back. I truly hope that above all else, the service will be...
Read moreeik Bakeshop Kendall is truly a hidden gem and one of the best bakeries in the area! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with the warm aroma of freshly baked goods and a beautifully inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. The shop itself is cozy and stylish, with a clean layout that lets the pastries and cakes shine as the stars of the show.
The variety here is impressive—whether you’re in the mood for cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or specialty desserts, there’s something for everyone. Everything I’ve tried has been made with so much attention to detail, both in flavor and presentation. The cakes are moist and flavorful, the frostings are perfectly balanced (not overly sweet), and the pastries are always fresh. It’s clear they use high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the difference in every bite.
The customer service is another highlight. The staff is always friendly, patient, and ready to help you pick out the perfect treat. They make you feel valued, whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee and pastry or placing a custom cake order for a special event. Speaking of custom cakes—Keik Bakeshop absolutely delivers! Their designs are stunning, creative, and exactly what you envision, and the taste matches the beauty.
Prices are very fair for the quality you get, especially compared to other bakeries in Miami. You really feel like you’re getting top-notch desserts at a reasonable price. It’s also a fantastic spot to bring kids or friends for a little outing, since the atmosphere is fun and the desserts are so shareable.
Overall, Keik Bakeshop Kendall is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, delicious, and beautifully made baked goods. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to treat myself, celebrate special occasions, and pick up gifts that always impress....

On this visit, I dove into a brunch spread that completely blew me away. The S’mores Coffee and Nutella Coffee? Decadent, dreamy, and somehow even better than they sound—rich, dessert-like, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The French Toast was fluffy and golden with just the right amount of crisp on the edges, while the Avocado Toast hit all the right notes—fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. And that Brunch Girl Burger? Juicy, loaded, and absolutely unforgettable. Every bite was a reminder that Keik doesn’t just do sweets—they absolutely crush the savory game too.
The café’s pink-themed décor exudes a playful yet sophisticated charm. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, but it never feels gimmicky—it’s warm, cozy, and makes you want to stay awhile. The energy here is bright and welcoming without trying too hard.
Ivonne, our server, was an absolute gem. Friendly, attentive, and totally on point with recommendations—she made us feel taken care of from the moment we sat down. You can tell the staff here actually care, and that makes a huge difference.
