Don't let the unassuming exterior of this quaint restaurant fool you—inside lies a treasure trove of culinary delights that I've come back to time and again. This little place may look simple, but the Peruvian dishes they serve are nothing short of spectacular.
From the moment you step inside, the aromas of authentic spices and fresh ingredients take you straight to the heart of Peru. The menu might seem modest, but each dish is crafted with such passion and precision that you can taste the care in every bite. The ceviche is a must-try, bursting with the freshness of the ocean, and the lomo saltado is perfectly seasoned, with tender strips of beef that melt in your mouth. Even the side dishes, like the creamy and comforting papas a la Huancaína, are executed flawlessly.
The service matches the quality of the food—attentive, quick, and always with a smile. It's clear that the staff are proud of their culinary heritage and eager to share it with every guest. This place is a gem for anyone looking to explore the rich flavors of Peruvian cuisine without boarding a plane. Every meal here is a delightful adventure for...
Read moreWe've been regular patrons and about 3 weeks ago we decided to have lunch there. We pulled up around 12:15, but the door was locked. In our past experiences they opened at noon. So we figured they were running late even though we could see someone mopping the floors. That person saw us standing there while they were busy with their housekeeping but did not acknowledge us. I double checked the opening hours posted on the window and it listed 12:00. We waited for 30 minutes then left - and actually it was a good thing because we found Misitio restaurant a few doors down. Wonderful Colombian cuisine !!
We have friends visiting and they have good memories of this Peruvian restaurant - so we're going to try again. I just checked the hours and it's changed to 1pm !! Ok - now it's making a little sense as to why the door was locked. However - the persons inside should have said...
Read moreAfter discovering this gem my husband and I have made this our favorite go to spot. We come atleast once every 2 weeks. The food is SO authentic and delicious. Great size portions. Well worth the drive as we travel from Bradenton.
We love the mixed chicken and beef chaufa. It can feed a whole family. We also love their llomo saltado. The taste in each bite you'll never forget!
Be aware this establishment is not an order and recieve food in 10 or 15 minutes. The food is made from scratch and FRESH so the wait is a little long but again very worth it. So if you are in a rush for a quick lunch or dinner plan your time accordingly.
It is a family owned business as the wife works the front and the husband is the chef. As many times as we've been here we have never met or seen him but I do tell his wife every time he is an amazing cook! We are...
