Just want to make it clear, this is not a Mexican restaurant. They have limited Mexican food options. This is more of a Central American (Salvador & Honduras) sport bars where they go for beer. I decided to try it because itâs new in the area and Iâm a Foodie. Once I arrived I asked if they serve food because it was just men there drinking beers WITH the employees. We were greeted and handed old menus which I was confused because they just opened and the menus seemed like theyâve been ran thru by a lot of people. Once I realized that it wasnât Mexican, I was very hesitant about staying but then I told myself sometimes these turn out to be the gems. ABSOLUTELY WASNâT! I was curious and just googled it to see and it turned out that they had a different location and moved here. There was no customer service, we were never asked how was the food, did we need anything else, if we wanted to order something else, we had to call the waitress over several times, thatâs how attentive she was. We were the only two people there at the moment who ordered food, took 20 minutes and the food wasnât hot. The Guacamole and chips (didnât take a picture) was good, the chicharrĂłn pupusa was good, the white rice and fried egg was good. I ordered a Horchata, it was ok, seemed like the powdered one. Everything else was 2/10. The ladies were just attending to the menâs, the music was loud 3pm, and the atmosphere was just plain and boring. Do I recommend, No, would I...
Read moreA one time only visit. First, let me state that the food was surprisingly excellent! Truly savory! Yet what is supposed to be a Salvadoran restaurant really is a Mexican restaurant. The menu says it all! Second the restaurant is more a facade to a regular "water hole" (or as they call it in Salvadoran dialect: "Un chupadero") One can be completely deceived by the looks on the outside. The inside is obviously designed to be used specifically as a "drinking 'dance' hall". And last, but most important, the expense showed later in the bank avvount with an extra unauthorized - beyond the 15% - imposed on the customer charge (what they call "gratuity"). It is not a place that I will bring my business to, a...
Read moreI ordered 5 of the 2 for $8 pupusa's, 1 tamal de elote and 1 large pineapple juice online. I received my order 2 hours later! The pupusa's were very thin but had good flavor. The tamal was very small and it didn't taste good, it came with a small container of crema but the crema was expired and very watery. The pineapple juice tasted like it had more sugar and water than anything else. Ended up having the worst stomachache, throwing up, having diarrhea and a hugh headache too.đ«đ This is the first and last time I'll...
