After reading previous recent reviews we were anticipating a great meal. Unfortunately, it did not turn out as planned...to say the least. When the waitress came to take our drink order she informed us it was happy hour all day. Several of us ordered margaritas and when she brought them out we each got two. If we’d known that was what she meant we would have shared them. The extras sat on the table melting. The chips and salsa were definitely the highlight of the evening, they were excellent but we were again disappointed to discover they don’t offer queso. One member of our party ordered the vegetarian fajitas which she asked for without onion. When they brought her dinner they held the onions on everything, so all she got was a plate of peppers. Vegetarian fajitas normally include more than peppers and onions so there wasn’t much substance to the meal. Our grandson ordered chicken tenders and fries but had to change it when he was informed there wasn’t any ketchup in the restaurant. He ordered the kids cheese quesadilla which he couldn’t eat because it cold. The waitress didn’t bring back a drink refill request at all. Four of the other dinners came out hot and correct, except none of the beef fajitas had any tomatoes cooked in it. The rice was very spicy and seemed like Uncle Ben’s out of a box. When we complained to the waitress she came back and argued instead of making it right and moving on. She brought the manager over who told us she would discount the vegetarian meal 39%. Who does that? She did remove the kids quesadilla from the bill that they couldn’t eat. It was a poor experience all the way around for our party of 7. Too bad there are no “do overs” when it comes to meals. For obvious reasons we do not recommend...
Read moreUPDATE... WENT BACK... took my daughter, her fiance and my grandson. We told the waitress right away we need 2 pints of salsa to go and then ordered the grandsons meal right away, a burger and fries and ask that the order be placed and brought out when ready. 10 Minutes later we ordered our meals, taco salad in a spinach fried tortilla bowl, the Ven? combo platter (same one gunnar had the first time) and 3 street tacos with different meats. So after like 20 minutes we ask about the burger and out comes the burger- dry not warm and fries you could eat immediately- not hot. And lo and behold out comes our food before we could even get the ketchup ready for him to dunk the fries in. So we ask for the waitress and ask why did all the food come out at the same time and her answer to us was because the other meals took less time to make than the burger and fries. WHAT!?¿ Fiancé asked for a drink refill, never came. Food just ok taco salad with no salad in it just Mealy meat and not hot. Ordered dessert fried ice cream and flan. Looking around 10 minutes later, they manager comes over with our bill and says it's this what you're looking for? I said only if we're leaving without our dessert. Then finally dessert and 1 pint of salsa, so bill had to be adjusted again for the second pint. Spoke to manager who offered me a gift card but I denied wanting to come back, except for salsa maybe. Wow in the change in horrible service compared to our first time with the bubbly waitress. Not good for a Saturday night. Won't be back. Amazing recommendation from a friend. Had the best salsa ever, took some home! Birria taco appetizer was to die for! Best Margarita EVER and so cheap. My boyfriend had a combo plate and everything was...
Read moreLoved the atmosphere, CAN'T SAY ENOUGH about the food, but the service left a little to be desired.. our waitress was the corner on her phone most of the night... My wife even said something about it and she told my wife and I that she was having problems with her boyfriend. Thought that was kind of unprofessional but regardless, we were there to have a good time and enjoy some good food.. so we let it go... About 20 minutes later, after we had already drank our drinks and ate our appetizers, when our food had not then delivered, we called her another waitress over to find her. It took about 10 minutes for that waitress to find OUT waitress, and when she finally showed up at our table she was very apologetic and brought our food. By that time it was cold. So of course we sent it back to be at least microwaved and warmed up. It was another seven or so minutes before we got our food back from being microwave by this time the food was rubber. The chef came out and offered to remake our food... Of course we accepted.. we even bought a few more drinks and waited for our food. By the time it came out it was delicious! All in all it took about 45 minutes to get appetizers and drinks and then another hour to get our food to our satisfaction... It wasn't the chefs fault it wasn't the restaurant's fault. The waitress was just going through some personal stuff that should not have been brought to work. But this is life. I'm sure it was a one-off... We will go again possibly even get it...
