Kudos to the Chef and the Kind, Caring Staff! I found Spice while on a mission to the hardware store next door. A Most happy accident: I had a delightful experience and great food.
I ordered chicken korma from the luncheon combo menu. It was deliciously spiced with lovely aromatic spices that complemented one another. The chef has a nice light hand with the salt shaker so the subtleties of the other flavors were not overwhelmed and I was able to appreciate them for their own personalities. Thats hard to find these days.
The luncheon combo included a nice portion of the chicken, basmati rice, a papadam, Naan, a Samosa appetizer (delivered nice and hot with a wonderful crunchiness and spiciness). And to top it off, the combo comes with a creamy rice pudding. Again, really nicely flavored, a bit sweet. If it sounds like a lot of food, it is! You won't be hungry.
Another plus, you can order your meal with whatever spice level works best for your palate. Although I like spicy foods, lately they don't seem to like me so this is a big plus. Just communicate your needs to the Staff.
There was a small hiccup with my order that was graciously and promptly addressed. Not worth mentioning other than to say The staff is genuinely kind and courteous with just the right amount of attentiveness. They want to make their customers happy.
Spice is only about 3 months old. I am happy to have them in the neighborhood. With the yumminess of the food and the kindness of the staff I am looking forward to trying out every dish on menu. Give Spice Indian Cuisine a try! I heartily...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Spice Indian Cuisine with my family, and we were all thoroughly impressed! The warm and inviting atmosphere immediately made us feel welcome, and the food exceeded all our expectations.
I ordered the chicken vindaloo, and it was fantastic—perfectly spiced with just the right level of heat, and the flavors were rich and bold. My dad tried the lamb shish kebabs, which were cooked to perfection, tender, and full of smoky, savory goodness. My mom had the lamb Rogan Josh, and she couldn’t stop raving about the perfectly balanced spices and the melt-in-your-mouth lamb.
The naan and rice that accompanied our dishes were the perfect complements, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
Spice Indian Cuisine is a gem for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Indian food. We left feeling full and happy, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly...
Read moreI was SO happy to have learned about the opening of Tikka in Venice, FL’s new restaurant, Spice Indian Cuisine, right on Clark Rd. in Sarasota! I had to visit during their soft opening period which began on Sunday evening, 10/20/24. I am happy to report that this iteration restaurant lives up to the reputation of the original Tikka. Everything was superb! I was happy to see some of the regular servers I have come to know at the original location, Sandeep and Sam Johnson.
I am eternally happy to have a solid and excellent Indian restaurant in South Sarasota. Since I had moved to the area there wasn’t a place I have loved. If one day they decided to add dosas to the menu even as a one-day a week special I would be even more delighted (I only suggest this as no restaurants in the SRQ area currently make dosas) :)
Thank you, Spice Indian Cusine! You surely serve quality food at very reasonable prices. I...
